Yes, times have changed alright. I love looking at videos from previous eras; and just being in total awe of how men and women carried themselves. I know that not all eras are "perfect" but I truly believe the 1950's was the last generation of morals and values. Certainly not like our corrupted dysfunctional society now.

I like watching these to get a better idea of the actual morals, values, and standards they had at this time. People say we idealize it but the amount of care and respect that they at least aspired towards is truly beautiful. We should all still be trying to live like this. They were grateful and clearly women were respected as important members of society, even if they were mostly serving traditional roles. Most of us don't get to do cool fulfilling jobs anyway. I'm so glad I'm expected to get up every day to be a wage slave while my family misses me!

Well said. Technological advancements (social media, automation, ect.) has caused big social changes in the last 100 years that have eroded these traditional ideas. Thanks for watching!

Well obviously women weren’t happy with “traditional roles.” You’re also leaving out the incredible amount of DV that occurred at this time. I find your comment about women to be SICK.

My parents raised us this way as well. The good old days. These were family values brought over from European ancestors. The majority of middle class America lived by these principles at that time.

I like the recessed pot in the stovetop. I've never seen that before.
