I honestly don't want to see Shevchenko be defeated a third time by Grasso but I think she is past her prime, and I don't mean she is too old, but she is a veteran in the fighting business. She has been in Muay thai championships since she was a teenager and has fought tough opponents including the fierce Amanda Nunez. All those fights take a toll on the body whether we like it or not.
I wish the best to Shevchenko, regardless of winning or losing, I hope she gets the best fight of her career and eventually retire completely satisfied.
IF one fights long enough and often, they'll meet their match eventually and no shame in that, it's the way it is for every combat fighter right. But I feel same way as you, VS has been someone Ive followed for over a decade now and just used to seeing her be victorious, she is amazing and unbelievable. She may be at that point where she is past prime, not sure though. Id bet she'd whip the others in 125 stable still yet!! OH yea... It's just Alexa, she is no slouch and the work she puts in at LOBO Gym is 2d to none, it's her time ya know. If it was gonna be anybody, Alexa is the best one to pass it too and Im glad it was her. Both women are great ambassadors for the sport and I sincerely believe VS thinks very highly of and respects AG and vice versa for sure.
