Modern-day Kenmore washers are nothing more than plastic JUNK with very little water in them! Whirlpool needs to return to making washers like they were made many decades ago!!
When I put that much clothes I add 1 or 2 at a time while the machine is running. I miss our old Kenmore, now it's a bunch of sensors and hardly any water.
The styling of these machines has held up very well in 2018. If these were on today's showroom floors I would head right for them. Also like this agitator better than the DAA in these large capacity washers.
I'd put a Whirlpool "super-surgilator_ agitator in replacement of the agitator that is in that washer. I think the "surgilator" would provide a faster turn-over. Although the laundry there is definitely getting a good wash-action even with that agitator.
I keep coming back to this particular video. This agitator got a bad rap. I very much like the wash action of this. Its moving that big load around very well and I prefer it's "take your time" kind of turnover. Lots of sloshing and circulation. Thanks for these videos. Much appreciated . Harley, do you still have the Penta swirl and do you use it ?
I Love, Love, Love these video's!!! This is better then Saturday night at the movies LOL!!! Boy how i wish I still had my kenmore washer, Spats Bear does this machine have the off balance buzzer??? and if it does can you put a load out of balance for it to sound??? Thanks
Doesn't that put a lot of stress on the drain hose, because you really have to stretch it a long way in order for it to reach the laundry tub? My suggestion would be moving the washer right next to the drain tub. This may also help it to drain faster.
I noticed that after the drain cycle when the air gets sucked through the pump, the "hum" it makes sounds a little bit flatter than a vast majority of BD's. That's why I asked about it.

Being from 1978. This washer is no stranger to blue jeans. I'm pretty sure it washed a few bell bottom jeans in it's early life.
Good point! Some SWEEEET jeans right there.
I really like the looks of the control panel of this machine. It's down to earth and practical. It doesn't have all the lights and buttons.
Good ol 70 series. My late grandma had this washer.
4:25 love how the motor starts up after it’s done filling up. Reminded me so much of my grandmas 1979 Kenmore 80 series washer
Thanks for the great video - their is nothing like the woo woo sound and good cleaning power!
I see your enjoying your re-built Kenmore and letting the Speed Queen rest. It’s doing a great job as it was originally built to do.
Sounds just like my 1979 Kenmore, I miss that washer
Fantastic washer!!!
Beautiful old kenmore :)
Love that famous grind click clunk sound at 22:20, sometimes depending the position of the wig wag, it’ll do a long one
Now to find a matching white fabric softener dispenser for the agitator
I hear the WOO WOOs!
Good old washer

Harley, do you still have the Penta swirl and do you use it ?
Obviously, you had the Second Rinse option on.
Penta swirl agitator
I like the look of the thumbnail you used for this video, it was eye catching. Nice job.

(Spats is at work so I'll respond,) but yes, it does. And yes, I can.
And here it is: ruclips.net/video/hmsIPzDwEJM/видео.html
I had a vintage maytag and if it would be unbalanced the washer would shut it self off until I got the clothes leveled
Can you do a permanent press on this machine one day?
Sure. I'll try to do it today and post it tomorrow.
@@HarleyBadger cool. Thanks
Question....where does the washer drain to?
Over to the laundry tub on the far right past the plants

Doesn't make any difference. We already tested the pressure and drain rate with the short hose, it's no different from the long hose.
