Bob Bowman is an incredible guy. I'm convinced that without him, neither Mickael Phelps nor Léon Marchand would have been as successful. What a genius coach!

First of all, kudos to you guys for making every episode feel like an awesome discussion and not an interview. Secondly, you know when someone is great when you hear him prioritizing the athlete's needs as part of the whole preparation process from one point onwards and that's what makes Bob who he is. He cares, he is attentive and the results shows. Great talk!

Appreciate the kind words! Trying to make the guests comfortable and have a more open conversation. We aren't great yet at it, but hopefully improving! Bob is great, really puts his energy into his swimmers and his craft!

Hello, I am French, Léon Marchand was the French champion of the 200m butterfly at 16 years old. He won medals at the junior world and European championships. He finished 6th at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The French already knew him and knew that he is a good swimmer. Then, we saw his results at the world championships. We also love him for his work and his kind, sincere, and humble personality. The French would have supported him, even if he had fewer medals.

This might be my favorite social kick ep (even though Bob doesn’t believe in social kick). He says he’s not funny but he was so fun in this episode, I can see why people really like having him as a coach!

What a great opportunity to learn more about Bob and his work philosophy. By listening to him, one can get clues on how great project manager and leader he is, and the results show it. Thank you!

No idea what the secret is, but Leon wins like it's easy. Two medals in a couple of hours, sure, no biggy. Always a smile, does not even look like he's tired.

Yea....probably the pool depth, excessive energy in the arena, first event of meet for Marchand, if I were to guess - John

@tooshay7396 i guess he'd be 30 years old in 2032 since he is 22 right now and its 2024

@tooshay7396 so he'd be exactly 30 years old not 30+

Hmm, thoughts on Notre Dame, perhaps we can give them on a future show, hard to get into it all here, as we have lots of thoughts! Thanks for the info on volume/mics, we can work on that!
