Really really helpful video. Simple and clear instructions. Thank you so much! Saved me a lot of headache trying to understand the instructions myself 😅
Thankyou soo much! We’ve just purchased this car seat and this video is far easier to understand than the instructions
Thank you, I’m glad you found it helpful!
This was such an amazingly informative video , I watched another video earlier that wasn’t nearly as in depth with explanation as this one and I’ve been trying to install the Safeway into my car for over an hour as a result 🙈 I’m going to give it another try tomorrow and watch this video instead . Thank you x
Thank you, that’s so nice to hear! I try to make my videos easy to follow and real, I basically do exactly what you’ll be doing in real time, so you know what to expect.
I had this video playing in my car as I installed mine and could pause it with each step. I didn’t do anything wrong and I’m happy I’ve installed it correctly thanks to this video.
This is an amazing tutorial, thank you so much! ☺️
You're very welcome.
Hi, thanks for this video, it was very helpful. My support keg is even tighter than yours and will not extend as it’s so close. Should I use the spacer to push the seat further out, even though my daughter is only 13 months and doesn’t need the keg room at the moment ? Thanks
Hi,
I have had this happen a few times myself. In most cars you can install the seat without the spacer, in this case you just need to extend the leg down to the floor before you tighten the seat belt. If that still leaves a gap between the seat and the backrest, you will need the spacer.
@@RearFacingToddlers I’ve just gone out and tried that and it worked a treat! Thank you very much ☺️
You're very welcome.
Love your videos! Thanks so much 🥰
Thank you so much!
I’ve had mine installed but we have an issue with the straps. They never seem tight enough and the shoulder pads just slip down and the fabric that they’re attached to just come out of the hole that they should feed through? Any advice?
The strap that’s attached to the shoulder pad has a loop that slides onto the bracket just below the hole. It’s a bit hard to explain, but if you message me on facebook.com/rearfacingtoddlers I can send you a picture
I tried to install mine today. Although the tether straps wouldn't tighten anymore and the indicator wouldn't them green
Did you leave the leg til the end? If you fully tighten the tethers before you drop the leg, it should turn green.
Is this seat allowed in the front passenger seat?
As long as you can turn the airbag off, any belt fitted seat can go in the front seat.
Hi, thanks so much for this video! The retailer I purchased this from advised that I could use either the seatbelt OR tethers to secure it. Is this true or do I need both?
Whoa…. !! Could you please PM me to let me know which retailer that was, so I can let Britax know? That is very dangerous advice, you definitely need both!
We have the exact same car. Can you tell me if the front seat is pulled right forward? Or how much leg room is left between seat and the glove box? Thank you very much.
I will have a look for you in a few days when I have time. 😊
Hello,
How would you install this in a middle seat with belts in the roof? We have a Peugeot 5008 2020.
Hi,
In exactly the same way. Seat belt that are mounted on the ceiling are no different to any other.
Does this seat go forward facing at all?? If so, how??😊
No, it doesn’t. Rear facing is so much safer than forward, that all harnessed car seats up to 125cm are rear facing only.
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome!
Hi, does there need to be a gap between the back of the seat and the front seat?
Thanks
Britax say there has to be a 1cm gap. All other manufacturers say that touching is fine, in fact Swedish experts say it's better, so that's good enough for me.
Thank you so much for replying 😊 I ended up emailing Britax (before I saw your response) and they advised that it’s ok for the seat to be lightly touching so long as there is no pressure.
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
What if the front seat rail isn’t raised and is flush with the bottom of the car?
Hi,
You can usually push the straps through with a blunt knife, and it’s often easier a bit further along the rail, so if you slide the front seat all the way forward, you can do it more easily.
If it really doesn’t work you can either loosen the bolt slightly (and screw it back afterwards!), add tether loops or go through the seat.

I did end up using a blunt knife far down actually! Managed to get it to work 😂
