  • Brianna never thought she'd go into Engineering Technology. But once she got into Columbus State's Engineering Technology Program, she found it was a perfect fit.
The program is full of hands-on lessons and practical experience, Brianna says. In one assignment, she built her own clamp from a block of aluminum, machining down the parts with a lathe. Brianna also benefitted from small classes and instructors who were willing adapt to her learning style. And there have been plenty of opportunities to network with alumni for jobs and internships.
Columbus State's program teaches skills in electronics and mechanical engineering that lead to good jobs in advanced manufacturing. And in conjunction with Intel, we're adding new coursework aimed at semiconductor manufacturing.
"Because of Columbus State, I'm able to use what I've learned in class, in the field," Brianna said. "Even today, exactly how the pros and experts would do it."
