Hello everyone, I am a bassist born in Sarajevo in 1980 and based in Germany since the war in Bosnia started in 1992. I am following the happenings on your channel, and I think it´s really great that there is space for the explorations of musical traditions from different parts of the world at such a prestigious and diverse educational institution like it is the Berklee College of Music. It´s always great when musicians get to know and learn musical languages which are far away from the ones they grew up with. I am particularly impressed to see people from all over the world singing songs in languages which are not their natives in such a convincing way. Will there be any recordings of the performances with Amira Medunjanin? If you ever should do a sequel connected to Bosnia, Damir Imamovic would be a great guy to invite... His new album "Singer of Tales" is a top notch display of bringing the tradition of Bosnian Sevdah music into 2020, and he is joined by an amazing band of musicians from Turkey, Bosnia and the USA on it. Also a great guy with lots of musical and ethnological knowledge, which he likes to share with students in workshops... ;-)
Thank you so much Berklee and Christiane Karam for giving me the opportunity to share this beautiful song♥️ it was an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to be back🙏
