- There's nothing quite like visiting an elephant sanctuary in Thailand, and on our most recent trip we had the chance to spend a few days at one of the best ones in the country, Elephant Hills - Thailand's first luxury tented camps and home to 11 rescued elephants.
This incredible elephant nature park in Khao Sok National Park has developed a sustainable, ethical wildlife experience for tourists to get up close and learn all about these beautiful creatures. There are a lot of Thailand elephant sanctuaries, and not all of them are created equal, but this one really goes above and beyond and puts the elephant's wellbeing first.
There's no elephant riding, no bathing with the elephants, and the mahouts don't carry hooks or control them. Instead you observe them in their huge, spacious and protected enclosure, and if they decide to come up to you, it's a very lucky experience.
Just a few hours from Surat Thani, Koh Samui and Phuket, if you're looking for the best Thailand elephant sanctuary that offers responsible visits, while also giving guests the chance to stay in safari-style luxury canvas tents, you can't beat Elephant Hills Thailand.

Hi great video, im going to be going to Thailand soon but im currently researching different places to see wildlife that is eithical and is for example a sanctuary for the animals themselves , I film nature and wildlife on my channel and my question is other than elephant hills where would you recommend , thank you again
