Queen are epic, eclectic (just a fancy word for 'all over the place' really), eccentric and...erm, running out of 'e' words here, but the point is Evan' David's list matches all of those qualities and is therefore perfectly fitting for the subject he's covering! The thing that struck me most was how many of Brian's songs were on here, a full 60% of the list - and it seems from the HMs that Brian is Evan David's favourite writer in the band for sure (noticed It's Late in the HMs, so guess it was a late addition to the 'real list').
When everybody went Queen-mad following Wayne's World and Freddie's death, I remember me and my brother looking at each other and shrugging, like, yeah we've known about these guys for ages, where ya been? Despite that it seems everybody else's fandom eclipsed my own and I very rarely go back to them these days, but always fun to revisit, especially the live stuff - and yeah, I think calling Freddie the greatest frontman in history is fair.
Now, who would like to know who produced Magnum's 1986 album Vigilante...? What's that, shut up JSB? Ah, fine, have it your way...! ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it, JSB...and glad you noticed the deliberate mistook there with 'It's Late', yes...?! (And yeah, it was the last song to make the final cut...also, it seems you're right when it comes to my fondness for Brian May's songs too...!)
PS: Re: Magnum's 'Vigilante', turns out Roger Taylor was one of the producers (I know and like the song, but haven't heard the album...I really must explore Magnum in more depth one of these days, yes...?).

Great reaction Shawn and fantastic work Evan to get a top 10 from such a large catalogue. I was introduced to Queen by a schoolfriend at the tender age of 13 when they released their first album. I was quite taken by their fresh and distinctive sound. Queen II is one of my all time favourites, a bit 'proggy' and arty (in a good way!) but outstanding from beginning to end. There are few bands that hold my attention beyond their first 3 or 4 albums and Queen fall into that camp and I only really know singles beyond that. While I'm not a massive fan of the big stadium 'sing along' anthems, even I was blown away by the Wembley Live aid show, a fitting legacy for Freddie. Cheers.

@@evandavid2816 Sam Cook there's a voice that is magic 🪄 my Mum used to listen to him when i was a little grommet i don't listen to Sam in my own time but I'm not adverse to listen to Sam when anyone else plays his music a bit like Shawn is with REGGAE. I'm still confused about Shawn's dislike of SKA HOW CAN THIS BE? NO SKA=NO REGGAE although i don't like Jazz NO JAZZ= NO SKA=NO SKA=NO REGGAE 😵💫 MUSIC IS CONFUSING and very subjective

I've got the hair dye I'm just gonna have to wait for Strummer to get home from his Mum's place to cut and dye it for me next week he's bloody good at it and it doesn't cost me anything apart from bleach and dye I'll send you a video when he's done it for me

@@ReactionsToTheClassics I'm good my friend my left leg and my back hurts heaps at the moment but I've probably been over doing stuff walks in the forest and beaches with my friend Keg and his son Louie but that's life and I'm not going to shrivel up and let life pass me by
