The quality of his instruction on a full length lesson is beyond awesome. His teaching style for sharing his techniques will certainly cut his followers learning time in half. MJS puts as much care and respect into his training videos as he does into his paintings. He is a true master. Thank you MJS for sharing. I don't want to say MJS is godlike... so I will just imply it ;-)
For such a small sized canvas, The illusion of depth, and the layered details of it, are simply SUBLIME. The color choices you selected all work so beautifully together. I can almost feel the radiant warmth of the sunlight emanating from the sprawl of green grass. 🙌🙏🙌 Thank you for sharing your process, and for the much needed inspiration.

This was the one that got me hooked on the website. Ive done hundreds of wet on wet style paintings, some good, some not so much, but this little free tree lesson is easily my best paining ever. My wife and kids were stunned when they saw it. MJS method of painting is actually much easier than Bob Ross' style in my opinion, although 2 inch brushes are a thing of the past and the paintings take much much longer.
This one was difficult..but the end result was amazing..the red and orange tones with the green grass,the sky behind the tree..I would recommend everyone who is interested to do the tutorial..!😀well chosen Michael!😎

I think it requires a lot of concentration, fine hand movements, and the ability to understand the structure of the painting. Yes indeed, and I have also noticed that his detailing is fathomless. Could not imagine fineness as similar as picture taken from camera.
