What impresses me the most about Kriss' drumming is how effortless she makes it at look. If you watch Baard Kolstad playing for example it always looks like he's about to birth a baby or something while Kriss looks like she's having a nice walk in the park.

She’s got talent. But this is arguably the easiest tool song to choose. Could have something to do with how easy making it look. I hope she does more complex songs because most of the stuff she chooses is actually quite simple
Dude, Baard Koolstad is like another level of drumming compared to her. She is really, really good, that's an undeniable fact. But Baard has his way of playing with a lot of emotions, which is not that easy if you take into consoderation that he plays perfectly 5 times more complicated songs than her, where he even writes these drum parts himself.
@@malastrasza sure, I love his drumming and I'm not saying they're on the same level, but if you look at Danny Carey or Mike Portnoy they both play complex stuff and both have that "this is not hard at all" vibe.

Ok my mind is blown. I just went back and rewatched the drum intro about 147 times. Growing up as a kid in the 90s we thought that was the craziest shit imaginable. There was no RUclips back then, so we didn’t get the visual learning. So now I know it’s not impossible lol. Good job btw

Спасибо!!! I went to boarding school in Russia in 2001, where I made friends with hard rock fans. But I left all of my Tool CDs back in the US by accident. I must have visited every market in Moscow selling CDs and nobody had ever heard of Tool back then. And the internet wasn't a thing, so I literally had no way of letting Russian kids hear tool. It was so sad. This is awesome!

I discovered Tool only recently, watching "Danny Carey | "Pneuma" by Tool (LIVE IN CONCERT)" on RUclips, I think I've seen that video 100 times now, I'm still amazed :) It's a nice song to fully enjoy your new HIFI system. Love the now classic 'old school' metal. This was college alternative art rock to me when it was first released. And more so after seeing Tool on the second stage at Lolalalooza! Best album of the summer back then.
