    As I have a house full of comic books, I have avoided getting into toy collecting, but every time I see those 70's galactica figures, my will power gets weak.
    Loved those things as a kid!

    Those monster records really stood out when I was watching the first half of the video. So eye-catching, the artwork is just perfect.

    That Ben Cooper Godzilla is hilarious. It may as well say "Dino" from the Flintstones.

      I remember having one, but thought it was just a dinosaur ! I remember the bowed legs of it and that it fit my index finger in it's mouth PERFECTLY like it was attacking me.

    I've found that I avoid carded stuff after it gets past a certain dollar amount for that reason...the need to open vs destroying re-sale value if you ever have to sell. Most of my collection is loose (and often beaters) as a result. Great haul!

    • @LannieLord
      @LannieLord 10 месяцев назад +1

      I discovered this a LONG time ago. Most of my collection is in slightly off condition . Thus - NOT a lot of big dollar value. So I can see keep it. No guilt. I am sitting on a vintage sealed tube of 1971 Vampire Blood that keeps shooting up in value ! LOL. I'm like STOP !!! I wanna keep it !!!!

    I didn't make the Burlington show because I was hanging out with Dr Oblimon but we did go to Niagara Falls and while Castle Dracula is still there the giant billboard sign that has been up on the roof for 40+ years is sadly gone. It will undoubtedly be replaced by something technically "better" but I'm sure it won't be half as charming.

    • @BrickMantooth
      @BrickMantooth  10 месяцев назад +1

    I have a soft spot for the Lake George House of Frankenstein ! First went there in 1975. I remember the Kong Kong exhibit- he was holding a classic fuzzy hair Hasbro G.I. Joe. Stayed that way for YEARS . And we were always like "Someone who works here is gonna NAB that G.I. Joe " and sure enough - the next year- he was replaced with a recent Barbie !! MAJOR score at my local flea market: The ORIGINAL brochure from 1973 when it opened! It's that one where you cut out the mask . One of the exhibits - aside from Monsters - had "Real Crime" folk. Of which one was CHARLES MANSON !! How crazy is THAT >? LOL. Our House of Frankenstein had its own GIFT SHOP with everything you'd need! I bought an orange coffee mug- that I kept for a DECADE before it shattered. They are VERY hard to find now.

    "Reckless" toy show purchases? No such thing. Buyer's remorse is a pointless phenomenon. Put the items aside until the inner nagging voice quiets down, then it'll be like somebody else gave it to you.

    The vintage 1978 Mattel Battlestar Galactica Colonial Scarab in box and the Cylon Raider and Viper parts caught my eye. As well as the carded Death Star Droid and Ewoks.
