Could you explain how to properly create users, roles, and policies to execute this? I'm getting errors when assigning roles and policies when I use the default settings.

Creating Knowledge Base with root user of AWS will give errors.
AWS recommends creating new user account and then creating Knowledge Base in that account.

Not related to Bedrock , but would be interesting to explore how to build a RAG application against some not trivial relation Microsoft SQL database.

Next logical step would be probably to build a python application to show how to invoke a specific Knowledge Base.

Great video! But unfortunately Bedrock is horrible and not very intuitive. I've tried for 3 days to add models but it doesn't let me. After reading every document, blog and article related to setting up the correct permissions for the IAM user account and trying every way to resolve the errors I am getting when trying to switch Roles (which apparently is the only way to do this), nothing seems to work. There seems to be no way to follow the steps in this video. Does anyone out there know of any quick start step-by-step guide that walks you through what exactly needs to be setup before you can add a base model? I wanted to ask here before I cancel my new Bedrock account and try Azure instead.

Thanks, did you request access to model at the first place. This cideo might be helpful

@@datasciencebasics Thanks for your reply. Yes, I followed the steps and with my IAM user (not root), I keep getting this type of error message no matter which model I try to enable - even though it says 'available to request' : Access request for 1 models failed
