I think one of the downfalls of many commercial grade splitters is how heavy they are, and how hard it is to move them around without equipment. They're also huge and you have to have somewhere to put them if you don't want them sitting outside. Split fire has solved that problem with this machine. It's compact, it's powerful, and it's fast enough to keep up with the other bests in the industry. It's a nice machine!!!! Awesome show of it in action 💪💪
@@LogCabinFirewood yes absolutely they are heavy while this one you can move around by hand great point. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more videos of this machine in action!!! Take care
I received mine about 4 weeks ago. Ive so far ran it 3 times and split over 7 cord already. With 2 people you can work it for about an hour and do several cord. With no back aches. Perfect design for me.
Yes Russell it is pretty quick. I was impressed when you first started and then I realized you were in fast forward. I screamed at you all the first day to show us some real time real time Russell. I guess you didn’t hear me over the noise in the engine. But you showed us a couple of logs in real time which was what I was asking for. Thank you. I’m impressed the way it hauled up three or four rounds ready to split some of those rounds. Wear a fair size also. It is a good little machine, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to split their firewood. Stay safe God bless.🇨🇦✌️
Split-Fire makes a good product. We had one of their bi-directional 2235 units for years. Welcome to the vertical splitter family Russell 🙂 I do like the idea of that piece of metal that is front and centre, protecting your mid section should a block of wood kick out (and they do).
@@WoodchuckCanuck they sure do Jim , they’ve been around a long time eh. It’s a game changer as you well know. I thought I would take out that piece of metal on the front but even with big rounds they just sit over top with no issues. Thanks for the comments take care.

Good video. I had been looking for a vertical splitter and was dismayed by the high prices (homeowner, 10 cords/year all hand split) and ended up with a Tractor Supply splitter and a short time later the 1165v was announced and I think I muttered a few not so nice words 🤣
@@southernadirondackoutdoors I do hear ya! I’m at about 5 cords a year or so. As I age time is such a factor in life, if it takes 1/2 or less time to split my firewood that’ll save me so much time, and it’s now way more enjoyable, the 1165V is worth every penny. Thanks for watching and commenting
