I did get a pretty cool picture of Jupiter with the R6 and 300mm f4. last night. One day im going to make it back out there and get a proper holy grail with my 6' slider and bag of night lapse lapse tricks
Awesome video Brent..I also went to get some Gemini meteor photos. But here in S. Texas, it wasn't quite that cold, but we did have about a 15mph wind which made it sooo much colder. I only got a couple of fairly good shots of the meteors. Maybe next time it won't be so windy...the cold would have been tolerable if it wasn't for that dang wind...
Hey there Brent, hope you guys are doing well. Question, what astro lens do you recommend for r5? Tried the Rokinon 14mm 2.8 and was not too impressed. The RF lenses are a little pricey right now, any ideas? Thanks
Unfortunately, that's the one I usually recommend for a budget friendly astro lens. I have the Samyang RF version and it's acceptable for my personal astro needs. It's definitely not the sharpest lens out there, but it does a better job than most for coma. Any other astro lens I'd recommend would be far more in price than that one. I actually use my 16-35 f4 and my RF 35 f1.8 for astro a lot too, but most would shun them because one is f4 and the other is pretty bad in the corners, but I don't care, they work for what I do.
I've pretty much been using my rgb panel go and panel pro over the cubes every time lately. The panels are bigger, more versatile, and have much longer battery life. That's just for my needs though. The panels aren't as rugged or waterproof like the cube 2.0 is.
Saturn and Jupiter are going to be very close together on the 21st. They won’t be very high off the horizon so clarity by going through so much air might be a issue... But I’d love to catch a video or picture!
Hi Brent, as a recommendation, videos are great and lot of useful information, but way too long!! , maybe going more to the point and pass the message straight forward
Sorry to disappoint. I just can't please everybody, you know? There's always people telling me how to make better videos for them. Either it's too long and I need to shut up and get to the point, or it was too short and I should have explained something better or in more detail, any number of a million other critiques. I do appreciate you watching for however long you managed to make through though!
More like broken knees. Between the military, martial arts, and skateboarding injuries, most of my body doesn't respond well to stupid cold weather, lol.
@@BrentHall Whew! You had me worried. In other news, I just shot a Cooper's Hawk! Finally! That's been a very tough bird. Spied one on top of a telephone pole, and BAM!

Another Awesome video thanks Brent you are my hero ! Proof not all hero's wear capes. :)
Very cool Brent!! Still haven't gotten any artificial light yet. I like all the lume stuff.
You're so good, i love the energy and time you put into this🔥
Thanks man, I really appreciate that!

Yeah, wind makes everything worse, lol.
Good video. Suggestion for a future one. How about a comparison of the low light capabilities of the R5 vs R6.

Thanks Brent! Looking forward to your next video.
Excellent thanks, how many shots did you blend and over what time to get the trail effect?
I mentioned it in the video. 117 images for the star trails, about 40 mins total I think.

I saw in your video, android shutter button simulator, which was working like a pressing on shutter. Can you tell me the name of this app? Please
It's called Intervalometer.
@@BrentHall thank you so much
Are you going to have a video about shooting the "Winter Star" on December 21, 2020? thanks
Idk. I wanted to get my big telescope all set up, but I don't think I'm going to have time. I might just try to shoot it with my 800mm. We'll see.
Awesome video
Many thanks!
I cannot work out whether to buy the lume cube or the panel, when would you use one over the other please?

@@BrentHall Thank you so much 😊

my hero! :)
Great work!
Thanks man!
Have you ever attached a canon R6 to a telescope?
Nope, but I'm about to this weekend. 😁 I've done it with my dslrs plenty, but haven't tried my mirrorless yet.
@@BrentHallI see they use a T adapter and a 1-1/4” tube adapter but is the sensor exposed?
I would love to see a live feed if you are able!
