I'm really missing those golden years... Such a great and underrated band. I came here once again to listen them for almost ten years. Greetings from Argentina!
You know, it's not about making hits, it's not about everyone appreciating every song you write, it's about having something to say and saying it well, at least once. I don't like most of your songs but I like this one and of course I like you big hit "alright". I can tell you see the world in a different way and I'm glad you could show that to me.
@@PokGuy4 I hear the last part as "and the nights are so long, and the crowd has all gone". The first part has eluded me for years. "your crimes all crash down" or something.
Yeah, and Radiohead, Mogwai and Coldplay haven't bitten off of anyone, right? ESPECIALLY Coldplay! What an excellent example of pure originality. They practically invented music... and a minor chord.
You lay awake and wonder what went wrong and in this world I don t belong suicide is in my thoughts , the fight for Life is nt worth the fight anymore and living life is a chore , It s time for me to think how I ll end my Life Rope or Pills what ever is fastest and Kills me
What is wrong with you lot? Purposely watching a video you seemingly don't like JUST to criticize it, that's pathetic. If you like it, appreciate it, if you don't, what the hell are you still doing here?
It's possible that they ripped it off, but we're talking about a song that very few people have heard of. Songs like Coldplay's Viva La Vida and Fergie's Fergalicious (I feel less clean for typing that) are giant ripoffs, and nobody seems to care. This doesn't justify what may or may not have been done, but if you're going to talk about travesties in the music industry, clean up those two songs and work your way down.
I think they probably just ripped it off, I doubt Mogwai (or too many people outside of Canada) listen to Pilate (or Pilotspeed as they're now known. So lame.) Maybe unwittingly, but whenever I'm trying to write music, I can usually tell if I'm ripping someone off. And I'm sure the guys in Pilate listen to Mogwai, because everyone should.
its so similar if you play them together, the BPM is just barely different, its quite definitely an obvious rip off. Even the drums are pretty close, and they steal melodies from the mogwai tune as well.
How come no one talks of this band. One of the rarest of rarest great underrated bands
I fell in love with this song 20 years ago and I still listen to it on a regular basis. So damn good.
This song kinda makes me cry miss the old days...
Fantastic band that I remember from my youth.
This is definitely their very best song, hard to find!

"You're crying... so crushed now and at night. Is that so wrong? And I cry that it's all gone."

I've settled, after a lot of analysis, on "you cry it's all crashed down, the nights are so long, and the crowd has all gone"

Frank Sabados I hope you're ok...life is full of so many surprises and life is always turning around for the better :)
Intelligence often unknowingly uncovers the creative insights of its predecessors. Quit quibbling and enjoy the music.

I ve made a life time of mistakes and yes my time has running out , the fine white line I ll cross over don t know , has time run out
yeah it is fairly similar but i prefer this because it has vocals :) (i like mogwai as well but it can get boring without singing after a while)
