They should do what Metallica did for the 72 seasons tour. Two nights two setlist. More room for the songs. Heck maybe three nights.Night 1: Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the beast. Night 2: Piece of mind, Powerslave, Somewhere in time. Night 3: Seventh son of a seventh son, No prayer for the dying and Fear of the Dark. Or a mix of those albums each night with a different set list. Just a suggestion, easier said than done.
I've thought of something like that before this tour was announced. My thoughts was 2 nights, but a mix of songs from every album. No repeats, except for Iron Maiden lol. I actually posted this on the Maiden Fan Club. And so many people complained about the idea of buying 2 tickets to hear everything. Can't please everyone
I Think that Maiden will start the show with the oldie "The Ides Of March" Followed by an early song like Sancuary. I think that it will be a jukebox from songs very much played before. But they said we have some surprises; I hope for The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
I love that idea. Seeing Dave run out on stage alone and just start playing Sanctuary before the rest of the band comes out? That would be super cool. They actually did exactly that in 1983 on a short tour leg where they where opening for The Scorpions I believe
I agree (in some cases reluctantly) with most of these. However, I think they will play Prowler, possibly even opening with it seeing as it's the first track from the first album. Seems fitting to me. Maybe open with the Ides of March and straight into Wrathchild.
Opening with Prowler would be cool. I do think if they use Idea of March over the PA, they will likely go right into Murders in the rue morgue. Like they did in 2005 and 1982
Yeah - that would be a good opener too, and thinking about it, probably more likely seeing as they've done it before. My money's still on a Prowler opener though.
This is my idea 1. Aces high 2. Invaders 3. Killers 4. Be quick or be dead 5. The trooper 6. The duelists 7. The evil that men do 8. Revelations 9. Deja vu 10. Bring your daughter to the slaughter 11. Phantom of the opera 12. Fear of the dark 13. Iron maiden 14. Run to the hills 15. Hallowed be thy name
Not sure what that times out to. But you could probably add a long songs or 2 shorter songs to that. Side note. While making my setlist I didn't even think about Invaders. That would be so cool to hear live
I rather the intro be Tailgunner. What other song are they going to play from No Prayer? Also, I love wasted years, but I hope they change the tracks from The Future Past tour. Sea of Madness and The Evil that Men Do would be great
Personally, I would love to hear Public enema number be played. Not going to hold my breath though. And I think Evil That Men Do is a safe bet for this setlist. Good thing I forgot to put it on my prediction setlist
@@metalheadcarshow Same here. It’s not a great song which I’m sure most Maiden fans would agree, and I was almost sure it would make your list, but would I love to hear it? Hell yeah! Would it be a lot of fun? That’s a yes too. It’s kind of awesome and kind of shit at the same time. I’m there for it dude!
@@metalheadcarshow yes that's the one I want!!! I even had my hopes up when I saw the artwork of the stranger on the dunes I was almost hoping that they put it in for this leg of the fpt even though I am well aware that they don't change the set list :P
Imagine if they try to extend to like 20+ songs by playing songs like transylvania/genghis khan to give bruce some rest mid-show (or even bringing paul di'anno to sing some songs). Then the problem would be nicko. Maybe pacing out songs for them to not be that much drum-demanding. There could be a chance that they really have planned to make a show that's like 2h 30mins for this one tour and I'd love to see that
Ya, there's some rumors floating around of Paul joining them onstage at the London show. But I don't see Maiden extending or decreasing the time they like to be in stage for this tour. Although a 20 or 25 song setlist would be great
Here's my proposal/prediction for the setlist: - Aces High - Killers - Be Quick or Be Dead - Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter - The Clairvoyant - Revelations - Murders in the Rue Morge - The Number of the Beast - The Evil That Men Do - Die With Your Boots On - Deja-Vu - Phantom of the Opera - 2 Minutes 2 Midnight - Fear of the Dark - Rime of the Ancient Mariner - The Trooper - Iron Maiden Encores: - Run to the Hills - Running Free - Hallowed be Thy Name It has plenty of classics, it has songs not played in 20-30 years live and one never played live song from the "Somewhere in Time" album, of which they've been playing a lot on the Future Past tour and I don't think they're going to repeat those, but still will play a song of that album. And it covers all nine albums.
I'm pretty into that setlist. And I didn't do it for my setlist video, but I hope your right about somewhere in time. I said they would play it safe with that album and just do 1 song. But maybe that one song will be one that isn't currently being played. Cool idea.
My prediction: Iron Maiden Phantom of the Opera Wrathchild The Number of the Beast Run to the Hills Hallowed Be Thy Name Die with Your Boots On Still Life 2 Minutes to Midnight Rime of the Ancient Mariner Wasted Years The Evil That Men Do Tailgunner No Prayer for the Dying Be Quick or Be Dead Fear of the Dark
@@metalheadcarshow No Prayer for the Dying is a stronger song than Public Enemy Number One. This shows among the majority of people, as you also say. You just have a bad taste for good compositions, dude (especially that you think Powerslave is their greatest song ever, jeez).
Same, that's a song that should have been played by now. I would have made it the opening song on the Beast On The Road tour. And have it been played in 2005 aswell. Maybe if we ever get another odd ball tour, maybe we'll get it then
That was the song that started me on the journey. Side 1, track 1, staring at the album cover as a teenager thinking...."whoa, these guys are cool", 33 shows later, still get fired up when I hear it, but sadly never on a setlist.
Songs I DON'T want to hear this tour cuz we need more space for deep cuts: The Trooper Wasted Years Iron Maiden Run to the Hills Aces High 2 Min to Midnight
Not holding my breath for Wasted Years. But seeing a lot of the hits where dropped in the future past tour. You can be sure they will be making a return for the Run For Your Lives Tour
Great video! I'm at this point in life, that I will fully appreciate trooper, fear of the dark, wasted years... as I realise more and more, that these concerts will be one of the lasts I will witness, due to their high age ( I think they will be max 10 years more on the road). If I could pick 1 song of each album it would be: Prowler Killers Children of the damned Where eagles dare Flash of the blade Sea of madness Infinite dreams Mother russia Judas be my guide If they play one of these, I think I will cry immediately😂🤘🏻
Think I'd have to (respectfully) disagree about tail gunner considering it's one of the better songs on NPFTD. Of course there are other songs they likely will do from the album, but i just don't think TG can be definitely ruled out. One song that i think definitely won't be played is The Prisoner. Id love to be wrong on this as it's my favourite song of theirs but they're playing it on TFP tour now and i don't think it's one they do reguarly. Im sure for the upcoming tour they'd rather do Hallowed be thy name or Number of the beast (Run to the hills I'm sure is guaranteed)
I think you are correct about The Prisoner. I do like Tailgunner don't get me wrong. If I where to make a dream setlist I would go add Public enema number one personally. But I think No Prayer is only getting one song, and I think that song will be Bring your Daughter To The Slaughter.
I'm expecting a setlist: 1) The Ideas/Murders or Be Quick 2) Wrathchild 3) Total Eclipse/22 Acacia 4) 2 Minutes to Midnight 5) The Trooper 6) Bring Your Daughter 7) The Evil That Men Do 8) Phantom 9) Afraid to Shoot Strangers 10) Heaven Can Wait 11) Flight of Icarus Encore: 12) Fear of The Dark 13) Hallowed by Thy Name 14) Run to The Hills Encore II: 15) Aces High * I found Wasted Years is a hit song of band, but boring as a live song for me almost like tired. It's only my opinion.
I think Fear will get 2. Fear of the dark and as mentioned likley Afraid to shoot strangers or Be Quick Or Be Dead. Personally hoping for Be Quick Or Be Dead. But ya I think No Prayer is getting 1
Please no Fear Of The Dark song. If there's one song I don't need to hear it's this song. They've played this song every tour since 1992. Most people I think would pick Run To The Hills, but it's a shorter song so it's tolerable.
Hate to tell ya. But we are more than likely getting Fear of the dark. I would be totally cool to see it dropped. I think there's so many songs that could fit that spot on the set. With that said, they did drop it in 2005
My ambitious prediction! Prowler Murders in the Rue Morgue Die With Your Boots On Infinite Dreams Sea of Madness 22 Acacia Avenue 2 Minutes to Midnight The Trooper Tailgunner Phantom of the Opera The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter Back in the Village Rime of the Ancient Mariner Fear of the Dark Run to the Hills Iron Maiden Running Free Sanctuary
I know some people have mentioned it because of the Japanese building in the background of the tour photo. I have my own theory on that. But I never thought Sun and Steel was a serious enough that it was worth mentioning? Although it would be a great song to bring up lol
@@MP-mx1xlso if your think back to the Legacy of the Beast tour. That tour for new art work every year. It's kinda weird with No Prayer for the Dying, because that's arguably the best album title in Maiden's catalog, but it's the weakest album out of the 1st 9. I'm hoping they play Holy Smoke, or the title track. But, given Bring Your Daughter was a #1 single in the UK, they'll probably do that one. I'm just hoping they do Infinite Dreams, From Here To Eternity and Afraid to Shoot Strangers.
@@metalheadcarshow Most albums after the big ones in the 80s kind of sucks. I would like to hear mother Russia live. All other songs from that album(and forward I can mostly live without) I would like the fugitive and childhoods end from fear of the dark

I have no insider info to what goes on at Phantom Towers. But I'm looking at songs that do fit in with the theme of the tour (first 9 albums) then ruling out songs that should be obvious they aren't being played. Weekend Warrior, Invaders. Then with the songs that are left, breaking it down to 6 I feel won't be played. I did this with the future past tour and claimed Darkest Hour, Senjutsu, Sea of Madness, Long Distance Runner, Ancient Mariner and Children of the Damned wouldn't be played. This one was harder because there's more albums to go through. But I have reasoning behind the songs I've picked
They wont be playing 2 of their biggest songs after his stroke Run to the Hills or Number of the Beast because Nicko can't physically play them after his stroke.

Back in the day, I recorded Iron Maiden and Killers onto either side of a 90, so I could listen to them on my Walkman. So, I had a single cassette featuring pre-Dickinson Maiden, and it was listened to A Lot. So I _still_ think of those two as being one long album.
Iron maiden has to stop playing the same songs over and over again live! They need to dip into there catalog and play songs they never played before! They are all up in there in age and this is the only time in there career they can do this! Who agrees with me?
You're not wrong. Maiden has been getting more adventurous ever since 2012. And I think Playing Alexander The Great on this current tour shows Maiden can do that. But also you can't ignore the crowd reaction when Maiden starts The Trooper, Run To The Hills, Number Of The Beast, Fear of the Dark. I personally would be fine to see them go. But the bulk of fans love it. Makes them hard to drop
Yes and no. I know Megadeth and Metallica among other bands do that. Makes going into the show a bit more exciting because you don't know what they will play yes. But, Maiden uses a lot of physical props and a big lighting production. Makes changing the setlist frequently difficult. Also keeps the band tight. I'll say they can be unpredictable in the sense of they are getting more brave for dropping the "hits" and pulling out odd balls.
@@metalheadcarshow No light show and production is bigger than Metallica’s current tour and as you say they do it. It just suits some bands to keep things simple and play the same set every night.

Hope you had an awesome time! Honestly I'm not expecting them to go any longer. But I am expecting Ancient Mariner
But they said we have some surprises;
I hope for The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Be quick or be dead would be so good as the opener.
Agreed!
No way. Way too slow these days
This is my idea
1. Aces high
2. Invaders
3. Killers
4. Be quick or be dead
5. The trooper
6. The duelists
7. The evil that men do
8. Revelations
9. Deja vu
10. Bring your daughter to the slaughter
11. Phantom of the opera
12. Fear of the dark
13. Iron maiden
14. Run to the hills
15. Hallowed be thy name
Not sure what that times out to. But you could probably add a long songs or 2 shorter songs to that. Side note. While making my setlist I didn't even think about Invaders. That would be so cool to hear live
I think they night play Children of the Damned and or 22 Acacia
Strange world, Prodigal Son, Total Eclipse, Charlotte the Harlot, 22 Acacia Avenue.
I would love to hear 22 acacia Avenue. One day
I rather the intro be Tailgunner.
I'm expecting them
to play Heaven Can Wait, with people on stage again. 😅
Still some hope for Quest for Fire then? 🤘🏻
Hopes? Yes. Song I would take seriously? No. I would lose my mind if they actually played it lol
i know everyone will want the trooper from pom, but id like where eagles dare and to tame a land
@@davidcraig8805 same! Specially To Tame A Land
Although a 20 or 25 song setlist would be great
Here's my proposal/prediction for the setlist:
- Aces High
- Killers
- Be Quick or Be Dead
- Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter
- The Clairvoyant
- Revelations
- Murders in the Rue Morge
- The Number of the Beast
- The Evil That Men Do
- Die With Your Boots On
- Deja-Vu
- Phantom of the Opera
- 2 Minutes 2 Midnight
- Fear of the Dark
- Rime of the Ancient Mariner
- The Trooper
- Iron Maiden
Encores:
- Run to the Hills
- Running Free
- Hallowed be Thy Name
It has plenty of classics, it has songs not played in 20-30 years live and one never played live song from the "Somewhere in Time" album, of which they've been playing a lot on the Future Past tour and I don't think they're going to repeat those, but still will play a song of that album. And it covers all nine albums.
I'm pretty into that setlist. And I didn't do it for my setlist video, but I hope your right about somewhere in time. I said they would play it safe with that album and just do 1 song. But maybe that one song will be one that isn't currently being played. Cool idea.
@@metalheadcarshow Watching your video you have convinced me to switch out Sanctuary for Phantom of the Opera.
@@metalheadcarshow Your video has convinced me to swap out Sanctuary for Phantom of the Opera.
My prediction:
Iron Maiden
Phantom of the Opera
Wrathchild
The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Die with Your Boots On
Still Life
2 Minutes to Midnight
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Wasted Years
The Evil That Men Do
Tailgunner
No Prayer for the Dying
Be Quick or Be Dead
Fear of the Dark
I'm actually amazed how many people want to hear No Prayer For The Dying. Nothing against it. Just didn't expect it
@metalheadcarshow My favourite song on the album. There's not much competition though.
@@bobs3302 not their strongest no. Personally, I would love to hear Public enema number one
I recon instead of still life it might be sun and steel as it’s been so long and we saw the Samurai tower as a little nod to it. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@metalheadcarshow No Prayer for the Dying is a stronger song than Public Enemy Number One. This shows among the majority of people, as you also say. You just have a bad taste for good compositions, dude (especially that you think Powerslave is their greatest song ever, jeez).
Like to hear INVADERS 🤘👍
Same, that's a song that should have been played by now. I would have made it the opening song on the Beast On The Road tour. And have it been played in 2005 aswell. Maybe if we ever get another odd ball tour, maybe we'll get it then
That was the song that started me on the journey. Side 1, track 1, staring at the album cover as a teenager thinking...."whoa, these guys are cool", 33 shows later, still get fired up when I hear it, but sadly never on a setlist.
@@5chevin5 it's unfortunate. Hopefully one day.
Songs I DON'T want to hear this tour cuz we need more space for deep cuts:
The Trooper
Wasted Years
Iron Maiden
Run to the Hills
Aces High
2 Min to Midnight
Not holding my breath for Wasted Years. But seeing a lot of the hits where dropped in the future past tour. You can be sure they will be making a return for the Run For Your Lives Tour
I really wanted to hear dejavú in the future past tour 😢
It would have been cool to see
Great video!
I'm at this point in life, that I will fully appreciate trooper, fear of the dark, wasted years... as I realise more and more, that these concerts will be one of the lasts I will witness, due to their high age ( I think they will be max 10 years more on the road).
If I could pick 1 song of each album it would be:
Prowler
Killers
Children of the damned
Where eagles dare
Flash of the blade
Sea of madness
Infinite dreams
Mother russia
Judas be my guide
If they play one of these, I think I will cry immediately😂🤘🏻
Thanks!
And we just have to enjoy what we have while we have it. I'm confident a couple of those songs will be played
The band are too complacent, they always play those same songs night after night, tour after tour.
@@thedarkdefender7780 what are you basing that on? There's like 3 or 4 songs you can actually count on being in the set
I really want to see them play sea of madness and stranger in a strange land
Some people have poked at the idea that they may do a odd ball song off Somewhere In Time. Just 1, but maybe something they aren't currently playing
Any set list that has flight of icarus is a win for me
Still life wasn't dropped in 1988. It was in the final shows and on Maiden England
Yes, but also. For a tour that had 96 shows, Still Life was played 17 times
I'm expecting a setlist:
1) The Ideas/Murders or Be Quick
2) Wrathchild
3) Total Eclipse/22 Acacia
4) 2 Minutes to Midnight
5) The Trooper
6) Bring Your Daughter
7) The Evil That Men Do
8) Phantom
9) Afraid to Shoot Strangers
10) Heaven Can Wait
11) Flight of Icarus
Encore:
12) Fear of The Dark
13) Hallowed by Thy Name
14) Run to The Hills
Encore II:
15) Aces High
* I found Wasted Years is a hit song of band, but boring as a live song for me almost like tired. It's only my opinion.
Good setlist. Little short, but also has no Iron Maiden lol
I can't see them playing anymore than 1 song each from No Prayer and FOTD.
With that said, they did drop it in 2005
Gen-X people would hate if they didn't play it, hence why the shouldn't play it. It is a boring Em, C major, D major repetetive song.
Flash of the blade, duelist , 1:29 déjà vu, Judas be my guide song they should play
I'd actually love to hear childhoods end. I'd lose my sh*t if I heard them play that
It's a shame that one hasn't been played yet
My ambitious prediction!
Prowler
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Die With Your Boots On
Infinite Dreams
Sea of Madness
22 Acacia Avenue
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Trooper
Tailgunner
Phantom of the Opera
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter
Back in the Village
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Fear of the Dark
Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden
Running Free
Sanctuary
Back in the village would be such a treat to hear live
They should play To tame a land
I'm really hoping they do
I thought you were going to put Sun And Steel on the list but is that another one
I know some people have mentioned it because of the Japanese building in the background of the tour photo. I have my own theory on that. But I never thought Sun and Steel was a serious enough that it was worth mentioning? Although it would be a great song to bring up lol
@@metalheadcarshowwhat is your theory on that?
@@MP-mx1xlso if your think back to the Legacy of the Beast tour. That tour for new art work every year. And every time that tour for new art work, the church was a bit more destroyed than it was in the last piece of art work. To the point the church was falling into lava in 2022. So, now we are going into a new tour. We see this explosion behind Eddie in the Run For Your Lives Tour art work. And that Japanese styles building in the background, on the explosion. I think that's the Senjutsu era ending, and being destroyed, as Maiden moves forward into the Run For Your Lives era. Just a theory ?

I hope that they are not playing Aces high. They played it The legacy of the beast tour. I love Mariner, but i love to hear Powerslave now, instead.
Aces High is fairly overplayed at this point. Some of the artwork suggests it maybe in this setlist aswell
Ive never understood why theyve never played Sun And Steel its a hidden gem.
Agreed. I always thought it would have been a fun edition to the Senjutsu tour, if it ever happened
To be honest i would like if they play whole setlist of the songs wich they never played live rather than hear again the same ones "The Trooper", " Can I Play With Madness" wich they allready played too much,

5.Total Eclipse
6.Strange World
7.The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
8.Only the Good Die Young

It's kinda weird with No Prayer for the Dying, because that's arguably the best album title in Maiden's catalog, but it's the weakest album out of the 1st 9. I'm hoping they play Holy Smoke, or the title track. But, given Bring Your Daughter was a #1 single in the UK, they'll probably do that one. I'm just hoping they do Infinite Dreams, From Here To Eternity and Afraid to Shoot Strangers.

Forever blowing bubbles?
West ham stadium...
Maiden are west ham fans.
😅😅😅
Lol we shall see
They have to put the brakes on fear of the dark. It's played too much great song, but there's other songs. They can put on the set list versus the same song played every single tour. They do.
I agree. My personal dream setlist wouldn't include Fear of the dark. But that song gets such a great crowd reaction. Especially with newer fans.
Only the good die young😋 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i hope a special Maiden show with all the best Nicko fan of the world play DRUM with Maiden... a break for him and a GIFT FOR ALL DRUMMERS who love's Maiden !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My only regret in Maiden was the fact they never really have collaboration with other bands or some PARTY like Metallica do with many metal stars !!!!!!!! Never see long jam sessions or entire practice...
Ya it's extremely rare Maiden has anyone on stage with them. Some people are speculating that Paul Dianno may join them on stage at the London show. We'll see though

I have a theory that they are going to play Drifter
I would love to hear Drifter. But before that. Let's hear your theory

They are going to play The Angel and The Gambler 17 times! 😮
They better!
Infinite Dreams will sadly not be played.
(edit )
* and filmed on crappy 750hp tape 😂
I don't want to rule that one out just yet
They wont be playing 2 of their biggest songs after his stroke Run to the Hills or Number of the Beast because Nicko can't physically play them after his stroke.
I wouldn't bank on that
They didn't play them at any of the recent Aust or NZ gigs.

Back in the day, I recorded Iron Maiden and Killers onto either side of a 90, so I could listen to them on my Walkman. So, I had a single cassette featuring pre-Dickinson Maiden, and it was listened to A Lot. So I _still_ think of those two as being one long album.
Still Life and Infinite Dreams or it is a waste of time 🤣
I agree about Infinite Dreams

Things maiden won’t do again:
Write a real banging 4 minute balls out song like killers
Booo
@@metalheadcarshowvery true
How about they have a standard set of songs, then a set of songs that get switched each night…other bands do it. Maiden have become so predictable.
