Saying things such as “Did you even try to defend yourself?” -Which implies that it’s Michael’s fault for not fighting back- When P.Mike said he doesn’t want his father to go to jail, C.Mike says “Grow up and do the right thing! It’s for your own good!” -Again, implying it’s Michael fault, and he should have spoken up.- And the one that annoys me the most: “He’s weak..” Being a victim of abuse, doesn’t make you “weak.” The abuse has likely been happening for years. When Michael fought back, he was only hurt more. So he fears retaliation against his father. Also, according to the video, William has drilled ‘No one will believe you’ into Mike’s head. Mike fears speaking up, because he believes it’s will ‘ruin’ the family. (Another symptom of abuse) Mike believes it would be his fault that the family would be ‘broken’.
