I've never had my own washer and dryer. I been using laundry mats for a while, or just swimming in my clothes at the lake. But recently I been making my own organic laundry, and doing laundry by hand with a washboard and 5 gallon bucket. Since I'm poor it saves me a lot of cash and my clothes actually smell better drying out in the Arizona heat
I got wool clothes & just wear that everyday. I wash it once a week and hang dry. Then wear that same shirt again for a week.
Have you seen the mini washer/dyers on Amazon? There are lots of videos on them here on YT

Hey there, recently I saw the big bang theory where they had to go to some shared laundry room. I am wondering, in my country washing machine is in every household. Recently I moved to a new apartment and had to buy a new one, took ages to compare them and select the best one as there are plenty of different models.
Anyway I am curious about one thing... Is this a common way how to do laundry in US?

Not necessarily common. If you live in a house people generally have their own washers and dryers. Most people who use laundromats live in apartments that don't have private or shared washing machines, or the machine is two small to fit large loads such as blankets and pillows. The last case I'm aware of is people who are homeless or living in their cars use laundromats. Hope this was informative enough :)

Some load front, some top. It’s buyer’s choice. As a short person, I don’t care for the top loading; it’s very hard to get the clothes out of the back and bottom.
