I understand that Shin doesn’t immediately regenerate like Minus One, but it was kind of dumb for him to simply have half of his face blown off and for him to just keep it like that for no reason. As for the adaption/evolution part, I can understand that as the sheer creative process to have him adapt everytime something new came up would be a bit excessive, but Shin also seemed to evolve backwards. Shin, in the case of having to fight faster opponents (King Kong) and opponents who could fly (Mothra and Rodan) who posed a bigger threat to him, decided to evolve to have a longer range which just didn’t play to his favor at times. The longer arms, while making his range longer couldn’t reach the opponent in the air, and even though he could punch harder than King Kong, he could get in close and deal a bunch of damage. He should’ve evolved to have a more compact build to fight the monsters and should’ve gotten some wings!!! I was legit expecting Shin to get wings, and I was practically begging for him to get wings only for him to never get wings, which could’ve made his fight all the easier with the goons that were flying. Another thing, the tail thing that he… gave birth to was just killed off for no reason. According to the drawings of the movie, Shin would’ve more than likely had a hive mind like thing with the entities he spawned, which would mean that if he killed his own… thing, he would’ve felt it like if he was killing himself, which is just boggling to think about. Overall, Shin should’ve been smarter, killed faster, but would still eventually lose to Legendary, all the while killing Kong!!! Obscene amounts of plot armor!!! Legendary’s plot armor I understand since it was built up and executed good, but Shin just let Rodan survive so many times for no reason, allowed Mothra to live for no reason, could’ve killed all of them easily if he didn’t try to make them submit and did the one thing Shin has been known to do: Kill everything that wants to harm him.
