Hello everyone! We have finally received information about the version 4.8 banners, and guess what: Neither Wriothesley nor Shenhe are getting their reruns in the next patch. The source of this information is Fullstopchan, who has a decent track record and accurately predicted the 4.6 and 4.7 banners. So, this information is reliable and unlikely to change in the future.
Version 4.8 is scheduled to release on July 17th, and the characters who will be getting their reruns in the next patch are Nilou and Navia in phase one, and Emilie and Yelan in phase two. Yes, you heard it right. Yelan is getting a rerun in version 4.8, which no one expected. Yelan's last banner was featured in phase one of version 4.0, back in August 2023, so I can't say I'm surprised to see her again.
However, I thought that since she has already had three banners, Hoyoverse would put her on the chronicled wish banner, especially when three characters haven't received their reruns in Fontaine so far. Anyway, I will finally be able to get her signature weapon, so it's a win for me.
Talking about surprises, one thing that surprised me is that Emilie will get her banner in phase two, not in phase one. First, they release a 5-star character this close to a new region's release, and second, I'm pretty sure she'll be important in the future when Natlan characters are released. In my opinion, they should have released either Sigewinne or Emilie as a 4-star character because Fontaine has been super expensive, just like French things.
Other than Emilie and Yelan, Navia is getting her first rerun in version 4.8. This too didn't surprise me since I had already said in one of my previous videos that Navia would definitely get a rerun in 4.8 since the abyss is tailor-made for her. But I'm shocked that Wriothesley isn't getting a rerun in 4.8. He was released in 4.1 alongside Neuvillette, who has already received his rerun in 4.5, but there's still no sign of Wriothesley so far.
Navia was released in 4.3, one patch after his release, and Hoyo is planning her rerun, so why not Wriothesley? Why is Yelan on the banner when Wriothesley should be the one getting a rerun? Well, I don't have any answers to these questions, but one thing I know is that you can't predict what goes through their minds because I'm certain that they have completely forgotten about Shenhe. Or maybe this was their plan all along and that's why they gave her and Ganyu a new outfit in 4.4, so they don't have to rerun them.
One more thing, the source didn't reveal any information about the chronicled wish banner, so I'm guessing that there won't be any chronicled wish in version 4.8. Therefore, we will not see the Liyue special banner in the next patch, and this will be the first time some characters won't rerun in an entire region's arc.
If you don't know, characters like Ganyu, Shenhe, and Kokomi haven't received their reruns in Fontaine so far, and now it's basically confirmed that they won't get a rerun before Natlan. So, if you wanted any of these three characters, you will have to wait some time to get them.
And at last, Nilou is finally getting her rerun in the next patch. We knew that she was getting a new outfit, but that didn't mean she would also get a rerun because we have seen what happened in the past with Ayaka in 3.4. But now, those who were waiting for her will finally be able to wish on her banner. So, you better start saving your primogems if you want any of these characters.

More importantly, it means another Chronicled Wish won't be coming for a long time. That means no Hu Tao, no Childe, and no Ganyu. My level of anger is... high. If I'm not given the opportunity to expand my roster the way I had planned it, and don't have the opportunity for vertical investment, then I may just have to pass on the Natlan characters entirely.
At this point, Hoyo should just decide to do triple banners, it’s getting to a point where double banners won’t work.
And it’d be nice for some extra freemos, like a FREE TEN PULL PER PATCH 😤😤😤

Cryo is a bit underwhelming recently and Wrio's sales is said to not be too good before. Maybe they want to build the hype for Wrio just like what they did with Eula so people would anticipate his rerun? My guess to the reason Emilie is second phase is to keep up hype for 4.8. The new summer event is the first have, so once people finish exploring theres not as much reason to keep checking in on genshin. If they put a new character in the second phase, it would help

I’m scared that Wrio might become the Fontaine standard banner character, just like Tighnari. They get one limited banner and then become standard. I wouldn’t be mad to lose my 50/50 to Wrio, but since he’s such a solid character that many people spent fates on, it would suck to make him standard. But at the same time, we need more standard character variety, and with so many new limited characters chances to get old ones are very low, so maybe it could be a good thing? I’m just sad my cake king is being slept on so hard they might boot him to standard..😞.
Thats... Not how standard banner characters work, they made it clear when Tighnari and Dehya were announced that they would be standard banner characters, its impossible for them to change this later, and it could even be considered illegal if they change this without a clear announcement at their launch , so there's no way this happens, you're scared for nothing.
@@chipinii2521 I only started playing halfway though Sumeru, so I didn’t know they were announced as standard from the beginning. I did know they had individual banners at one point, which is why I assumed maybe they announced them as standard afterwards. However, if they did do something like that, I doubt it would be illegal by means of false advertisement. Because the character does get a limited period for a bit and in game purchases are not that well regulated, so it would be hard to prove false advertisement in a court of law unless it was very blatant. It would be at most immoral on their part as a company and may cause a bit of controversy. And actually hoyoverse did similar things in Honkai 3rd where they would place older characters or characters that had less traction on standard banner, but only after at least a year or 2-3 runs. So yeah, based on all of this, I don’t think wriothesley will become standard but it’s not impossible and certainly NOT illegal on their part. It’s just unlikely based on how they’ve dealt with standard announcements in the past.

Well, finally! Been saving for Nilou now for half a year! Time can not move forward fast enough!
PS. Aren't Nilou, Navia and Emilie part of the main cast for the summer event? This is another reason that those 3 are going to have their banners in 4.8 (just like it happened with Kokomi, Klee and Eula last year in 3.8 and they 'advertised' Klee's new skin in the event that way too).

While I'm surprised Emilie is Phase 2 it is a good thing for me. Going for Sigewinne just for collection purposes so it gives me all of Phase 1 to save up for her.

My expectation that wriothesley and shenhe may get their rerun after Natlan because the rumors said there will be a new buff for cryo element along with hydro, therefore, it’s more reasonable to give them a rerun that time later

Luckily I pulled Wriothesley on his release and even his C1. But having Navia, Nilou and Yelan in 4.8 is probably expensive. Need to see if Constellations are good. And I need Navias Weapon. Yelan's Bow is also good on other Characters (got it for Yelan already).
