I appreciate your viewpoint. I had a a most profound spiritual awakening where I was suddenly able to connect outside of our known realm, much in the way it is written about shamanic experiences. It was the greatest blessing any human can receive, but I was seen as insane when I tried to explain it to my family. They had me committed against my will, and I was coerced by doctors to take massive doses of anti-psychotic medications. They gave me so many drugs they did not tell me about, which I only discovered after I got my records from the hospital.
The experience left me numb, no longer having any connection to God, and traumatized to the point where I became suicidal. I believe the medications caused brain damage. I am scared to death of my family and of doctors now. I was always a happy person, despite many traumas, but now I have lost the will to live.

I would have had a completely similar experience with a psychic awakening- I thought I was insane (so I was careful with who i told, first person was eventually as the one of the first words I heard happened to be one of the secret phrases in the Scottish rite, something I didn’t learn until I became a Freemason - the word was Masonic Technicolor Key - and met a 33rd degree Scottish rite member who told me about that. I hadn’t - just like I hadn’t even found the first degree code phrase after I became a first degree Freemason - online. This sort of thing - psychic in nature - wasn’t viewed as strange at all. My church / I had also recently become LDS - founded by a Freemason- and my bishop , as revelation that you hear - also didn’t think I was insane, as it’s common in the Church, and I was given a blessing wherein I was told that instead of going somewhere for two years on a mission like I wanted to at that time (I’m 29, this was like 26-27 when I was still thinking I was insane). I eventually told my psychiatrist, but as I didn’t have any problems functioning other than the anxiety that brought me there and I had always dealt with, as my ability to communication with what author toM Campbell who I interviewed called non physical intelligences is sort of something that I have to initiate, and the ideas I got from them essentially wrote my debut novel - I never thought I’d have a literary agent,, just use my ability with words to help with writing grant proposals, but I just went for it and my psychiatric said that many people do learn to live with hearing voices or enjoy it, which is the boat i am in - though I don’t focus on it much anymore, because as I am also an experienced meditatior from the Zen school of Buddhism, and in Buddhism psychic gifts are one of the Siddhis - gifts that come as you get closer to awakening - are distractions to be ignored. The Freemasons essentially take a stance that isn’t exactly the same but warn about getting lost in it. Psychic or part of my mind, the difference I feel in my situation is like wether the archetypal entities encountered in a DMT trip are real or part of the mind - maybe it’s a third option; tom Campbell just thinks of it as another data stream, to be judged like any other. Now at this point I rarely interact with these data streams, sometimes for advice. There was/is also a sexual side to it, but again it’s all optional.

Glad to hear a different approach to the topic.
I beg to differ tho...Personally I don't think that not functioning in society will always indicate that there's a mental illness, specially in the way society operates. Some people, for example, have an introvert personality. Also when you're a psychic you don't know you're a psychic until you get some knowledge about the matter...so you might be experiencing "psychotic symptoms" which are actually psychic abilities that you are not familiar with...
They say that the borderline between "crazy" & genius is very thin...

@@goertzpsychiatry9340 thanks to you, it brings some hope seeing that a Dr. is open to see that mental issues don't always come from a chemical unbalance or emotional traumas & certain experiences, which, obviously, happens too, but also from certain other experiences that are not...let's say...tangeable...and can't be grasped or even explained that easily...Personally I think that, for example, when the mind is very active, like in a "mania phase", the mind becomes more receptive, more permeable, therefore certain "exchanges" with other, let's say, realities or realms, are expected to happen much more easily...But I would say the same happen in a "depression phase", in a slightly different way, we vibrate in low frequencies, therefore it can happen that we attract this kind of energy from those other realities or realms...after all...everything is energy...I think that the key is to learn to find some balance, so that we can move in a safe way...just like a river...it flows in a soft manner or in a fast manner, but as long as it is contained in its channel everything is okay...

I was also pushed anti psychotics because I got very depressed from have a stalker for nine years.
The psychiatrist insisted that the appearance of my stalker was not real. The bruises, from his assaults also weren’t real. Then I ended up having extreme akhathesia ans wasn’t able to stop moving constantly for a week. I wasn’t able to sit still, kicked tables chairs if I tried to sit still, wasn’t able to sleep. I’ve never heard voices. But apparently seeing my stalker was a hallucination. I really didn’t feel I needed anti psychotics because I was not psychotic in any other term. Prior to him stalking me, I was in a relationship with him, which was weird because he also claimed to be gay and I am a woman. We had a zero sex relationship and I noticed that his conversations were always peppered with underhanded insults, and accusations of being ugly and un appealing. Which would then turn 180 degrees to his love and devotion for me. I ended the relationship after he got a DUI and because of that beat me very badly as well as a second time; I had forgotten that he had a key to my apartment, and he entered at 4:30 am and severely assaulted me which left me blind for almost two weeks. Despite all this, the psychiatrist refused to believe that this guy was continuing to stalk me. He showed up everywhere I went. It turns out he had put a tracker on my vehicle. The stalker went so far as to tell me he would make me feel so insane that I would end up in a nuthouse. He also destroyed my reputation in the town I lived by labeling me as a shameful slut, who was diseased and regularly sent drunk men to my door after midnight. When I would answer my doorbell, I would ask them how they knew where I lived. And each time was the same response. “Omar dropped me off and said you really liked me and want to F me” so after many years of this; indeed I needed anti depressants. A nurse convinced me that there was no stalker. I became more and more confused and at one point began to believe it was all in my mind.
I kept losing jobs because I was anxious and “someone, would call and tell the management atrocious things atrocious things about me” and the management would iterate a spin story with small amounts of truth of which they would have had no way of knowing unless they had spoken to someone who knew me”. The only time I wasn’t fired was during Covid, I got the job during lockdown and was a 100% work from home position. Unfortunately it was a temporary project with a one year contract. Which ended my work term 14 months after my arrival. Despite of all of this; the psychiatrists insisted that the stalker, Omar was a delusion and pushed more and more anti psychotics on me. I had had enough of the firings, the appearances and people telling me I was a slut and a whore, which were his stories. So I decided to leave the town and move back him at age 53. The day I was moving out, he assaulted me again, this time trying to crush me with my moving dolly on the ground against my throat. My body was purple and blue and green from the bruises. So my question is; since I obviously imagined all of this, how do bruises appear from something hallucinated? Please help me understand. Because according to the all knowing psychiatrist at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver Canada; I was being a difficult patient who because I refused to take antipsychotics orally threatens to have me arrested and injected with these drugs? His name is doctor Cohen. He gaslit me. I’ve moved to another country. After I sold my car, my phone blasted non stop because the imagined stalker wasn’t able to follow me any longer. So how is it that imagined this all and deserved to not only not be believed, but drugged with drugs that make a person obese, as well as the cost of those things, as well as being gaslit and made to believe I was insane. In my deluded opinion, psychiatrists are full of shit. And it is a pseudoscience created to push a drug class that otherwise would not be considered important.

I have psychosis, but my comes from dreams, and a strong sense and belief that I personally re-lived my life numerous times over. Each time a little different, but yes I see a pattern within myself, but I also see a pattern outside of me, and that’s in the outside narrative and it’s more towards the general news of the day of what is going on in the world and to my knowledge it’s what I call deja vu, and that’s what I’ve been having for the last 3 years on a daily basis. Almost exactly the same, maybe not so much but very close it. The rest is weird dreams and visions. I did at a young age have an accident in I think 🤔 I experienced a NDE, now exactly how do we separate those facts, from what had happened, to the experiencer, experiencing this ride. I had night terrors when I was a young toddler, I remember certain elements about my accident, and if not certain things, I can remember them in detail, and at the time I was in a foster care home. So my life was up and down, I eventually got adopted, and my parents took me to a psychiatrist when my night terrors started getting worse instead of better, I also remember being hypnotized to, or at least the psychiatrist attempted to hypnotize me, I think it worked because I’m 52 today, but here in the last 2-3 years I started to remember things from my past, and the weird thing is that I started to remember things from my future, and if I had to put a label on it, it’s all deja vu episodes, I experience Deja vu almost everyday, and it’s almost consistent. If I had to explain it, I’m experiencing life as a waves, and these are repeated waves of the same frequency. When I started having deja vu, and these weird experiences happening to me I started to have sleepless nights and having weird dreams again, I did have to check in with a facility that was best equipped to handle me, I was non- violent but I wasn’t totally sane, but I focused on the problem I had and focused on what was happening and correct. I started researching my experiences, and I’m either crazy, or I’m having a spiritual awakening. Your take on this doc would be greatly appreciated.

I sensed a man's death without notification and knew he died about a few weeks later. After I confirmed his death, I had repressed memories come back. I had not seen him for 33 years. About three months after his death, I started to see flashes of light when my eyes were closed and vivid memories came back to mind. This conversation seemed to be with God through this man whose death I magically sensed on the precise day of his death. He told me that I was his chosen one and messiah. I don't think I'm crazy because the details of all the memories that came back show how God's spirit used me as his messiah. I was 52 years old when he died (in 2015). I have evidence of the supernatural perception that can't be attributed to luck or coincidence.
My brother initially diagnosed me with a midlife crisis, and then he diagnosed me with schizophrenia. I disagree with his diagnosis since he has no faith in God or the supernatural. He is a Harvard-educated psychiatrist, and I have not spoken with him since 2015.

That is just 2 examples but the scariest one was where I got see to how the messages come to me while standing in a field and they come through a holographic eye that waxes and wanes with the moon, when they eye saw that I could see it, it took everything from me except for a gun that I put in my mouth and shot myself with so that I never have to see or feel whats coming ever again.
