Hello, I wanted to use the Control function via smartphone on my Sony a7siii but it doesn't work; I get a message from: Operation or setting not available with below. sorry, what do I do?
@@bernarddreyfus9129 check if you have activated flexible exposure mode.
Due to this reason IE Mobile is not able to operate the camera, so they're informing us that the IEM Remote control only
works in P/A/S/M Exposure mode.

I was desperately trying to figure out a way how to use a monitor that I'll hook up to my setup and see and have another one for director...I spent the last 2 days trying to figure out, going through all the shit apps (also Sony has their issues that when u stream 4k lcd shits off...whatever) and in this video u casually said that the hollyland has an app....BRO IT WORKS SO FRIEKEN WELL FROM A DISTANCE..I don't think I'm making sense but this video saved me!!!
I have the hollyland but I didn't think u can somehow use it with 2 devices...the monitor and another one...I didn't realize it had an app!!!!!!!!!

I love the idea for the Monitor+ app. I'm doing several 3-camera interview shoots next month and I wonder if Monitor+ can do monitoring for 3 cameras at a time on single screen or have the ability to switch to the view for each camera on the app.

Issues with the Monitor + Using A7siii with android (Galaxy fold 3)
Make sure Bluetooth is on as well as wifi on the camera
issue 1
you cant do a play back on the app. the playback will only work on the back on the camera screen, kinda kills the whole vibe of using this
issue 2
when you turn your camera off or if it auto sleeps, it kills the connection to the app/and it has to do a whole load up search to connect , it takes a while
issue 3
if youre in a area where its alot of cell phones etc and wifi, the signal will freeze and stick and become choppy
For me the app has too much lag to use on set. its cool as a quick solution for filming yourself and setting exposure on small shoots, but to give the ipad to a client, its not professional. especially for focus pulling, the stuttering is bad
Using the app for my sony a7iv during long shoots, I've found using the wifi and Bluetooth needed for the app causes the camera to overheat faster. Even when you set the overheat temp setting to high and the LCD is out.

Can you have both on same time
I’m using monitor+ with my Sony zv1. The latency is WAYYY longer than what you mentioned here. It’s sometimes 10s+ and makes it impossible to work with. Even when changing the app video quality to low it is still awful and unusable. I would love to hear your thoughts on that.
Oh man. That sucks. I haven’t tried it with other cameras, so I haven’t run into that issue myself.
Did you find a good one for ZV1? The imaging edge app sucks.
@@mic0le nope. I am currently using the monitor+ app but it is slow. Going with an external wireless system and a ~$400 external hdmi monitor will probably be the best solution overall but I currently don’t have the budget for that or the need (as I’m still growing as a creator).
@@AlexPerriI think it depends on certain camera models. My a7s3 works great but if I use a7c it gets all laggy. So i think don't uses different wifi chips in different camera models which affects performance. U can highlight this in your videos.

My song a7iii is not connecting. It keeps saying my camera isn’t supported, which doesn’t seem right.
For the a 7 iii u need to wire your phone to the Cam. Wireless isnt possible.

It only works wired. Wireless isnt possible.
Monitor+ works GREAT with my A7s3. I just wish they could make it compatible with my FX6 as well. All of the Sony Camera apps are trash, including the new Monitor and Control app. Just straight trash.
Honestly, this application has NEVER worked for me. It crashes every time when trying to connect to my alpha 1. This doesn't happen with Sony's crappy app. :(
