Base board around the bottom of the wall. Molding around the top. If wall paper take off those boards first. Sand and repaint or replace them when finished the paper.
In Sweden we often have cozy lamps standing or hanging in all our windows. It helps with the darkness, especially in winter. One of my hobbies is designing and making my own 3D printed lamps, so if you're interested I can send you one for free so your windows aren't so empty. 🙂

May I ask you, why you don't let Pixel explore outside without the leash? I can only speak from my personal experience of course but I used to have inside cats, that turned to outside cats after moving houses. When I let them ouside for the first time, they did not run away like everyone always suspects. they were curious and a little timid and stayed at may side. I stayed ouside with them the first couple of times, also always had the door open, so they could run back inside. And after a while i just let them go alone. Btw of course i don't mean to tell you how to do things, just trying to show that cats not just run away and never come back
She had always been an indoor cat, never really wanted to go outside much. We are not really scared she would run away, more that she will eat things she should not (she loves plastic, luckily there is not much of that in nature here) or that she would run to the road. We are seeing if she wants to be outside more, but in a safe way on the leash as she is also used to this. -Yvette
Bauhaus can be very expensive sometimes, checkout also AB Karl Hedin, Byggmax and Jem & Fix to get more for the money. But I love Bauhaus shops, they have almost everything under one roof.
