For pop stuff I prefer super wide double tracked guitars. For more raw feeling stuff like zach bryan (or even more folk pop oriented things like noah kahan) I tend to around 14-30LR. Or even just record ORTF and call it a day with whatever stereo width that gives me. I definitely agree with the notion that if everything is stereo, nothing is stereo!
This is a banger!! You should check out this band called Sequoyah Prep School they are a emo pop kinda band. Some good songs by them is About rain, 501 (my fav), and maybe I’m in. But I would love for you to make a song in that style.
