LiveScope GOGGLES!?! It’s the END of FISHING!

- I did a video last week asking if we thought technology has come too far in the fishing industry!? This week I'm putting my foot down and saying that Forward Facing Sonar is as far as technology should be allowed to go in our industry. There will eventually be live 3D and 4D sonar that will be linked to virtual reality goggles and it will be the end of fishing as we know it. With the ability to triangulate fish and identify fish species based on algorithms in behavior there will be a huge technology crisis in our sport. With autonomous cars, brain electro chips and so much more technology across all industries I think we need to draw a line in the sand! I understand where Randy Blaukat is coming from and agree that technology is going to get out o hand!
As long as money is involved there is no limit.
You hit it on the head. And the reality is, not everyone using this technology is interested in preserving fish or following the law. Seriously, imagine beautiful lakes with no fish population because they can’t hide from technology. At some point tournament organizations have to protect the fish and its environment and from a fair playing field perspective for fish.
The companies making the tech don’t have limits on what they can do so nothing is gonna stop them from furthering technology unless conservation and wildlife intervene and put a cap on what’s allowed.
I’ve had livescope for 3 years and personally I’m over it. Was at Lake of Ozarks 2 weeks ago and didn’t even turn it on. Went back to fishing my past.
I did that after a year of ownership. I love it in the wintertime but prefer to beat the bank.
It's not for everybody I know several that refuse to buy it and they could

Unfortunately, if there is money behind it... driving it... it wont do nothing but keep going bigger and bigger!
I've been anti live scope since the beginning. In my initial thoughts on it were that because of the ability to see fish in live time is an unfair advantage to The angler. It's going to hurt pan fish populations especially and my initial thoughts 678 years ago when this came out was that states are going to have to get on top of this and change Creole limits. So far we haven't seen that in my state and we've got guys coming over from Missouri and Oklahoma to bring their clients to Kansas because we have high limits on crappie. A lot of our lakes you can take 50 crappie a day.
It’s a direct reflection of how lazy the American society has become.
It has already gone to far. FFS is starting to decimate out fish populations. All Conservation department should outlaw 3 d sonar of all types.
I'm definitely not a fan of the government these days. Will never fish with goggles. I have a garmin 32, and that's my limit. Might not even put one on my next boat.
You explained that perfectly
You are right about one thing, this has got to stop. Where we are IS to far now. Just like the other comments made here, when money gets involved, there will be no limits. Even the equiptment will change. I saw what was happening a year ago, was going to upgrade my '96 model Ranger bassboat. Realizing what is coming I've decided not to pursue that because of where it's all headed. Been competively and recreational bass fishing for 40 years. Really hate to see it go.
I might consider subscribing if you can figure out stereo audio instead of single speaker/channel audio! … but I gotcha bud 👊
I’m not ANTI FFS, but 360 degree live imaging would be crossing a line for me, especially with VR.
Once FFS can be combined with a transducer to create a 360 feed all around the boat, someone WILL find a way to make that feed immersive and viewable in 360/with VR (similar to 360 videos people take with their gopro cameras that we watch here on RUclips).
It’ll essentially evolve what we have already into First Person Fishing, like Call of Duty - a heads up display on top of your actual surroundings.
To be able to see what’s under the water ALL around you at ALL times, and to be able to receive that information on top of what you’re already seeing, accurate to your body position without having to press any buttons, would quite literally be the bastardization of fishing, and the exploitation of nature/the resource.
I drew the line in the sand with ffs.
Im not wearing that while I'm fishing not long anyway that's a safety issue id fall out of the boat 😂 i think FFS is just gonna get clearer u can actually tell species of whatever fish is 100%
I've had Lvs34 system on my pedal drive kayak just over a year now. It is super cool. I still fish normally with both my transducers disabled alot. The tech is a double edged sword! I agree at some point there should be a limit, definitely for tournaments! But how to stop or limit it? Idk it's kinda either all in everything goes or nothing at all. I don't see a good in-between
Livescope is to far!! It's to powerful
But that's not even fishin'. I'd rather get skunked than use fish radar.
BWWAHAHAHAHAHA! OK Randy. 🤣🤣
I’m pro Livescope but thinks it’s as far as it should go!
public land no; private, use your tag how you want. feeder vs spotting with tec. wash.
Thought you said if you’re not scoping you’re hoping😂
I am pro LiveScope, but that’s as far as it should go!
It's the end of fishing for the sheep of society. I'll just keep fishing like I always have I don't need this crap
FFS is already too far.
How many people do you think would fall in the water?
Probably all of’em haha
