I love how your pigs are fighting for the Chicory roots and leaves . How deep can they dig for the Chicory roots? Does Chicory survives after a deep hog rooting ?
I remember a time when it was all the rage to have chicory in coffee and barbecue charcoal. In Pennsylvania, chicory is found in great quantities, as a weed, along the interstate...
i just watched your other Video on Buckwheat; i like the idea of buckwheat...and i knew a little about that crop but you certainly added to my education... but this Chicory i was not aware of how beneficial it is to the soil...i just bought some Acreage in south central Arkansas; and want to raise Goats to get started farming. i had a hand full of goats when i lived in Oklahoma as a hobby. i know goats can eat almost anything, but was wandering if you knew if they can tolerate Buckwheat ??? and if they can, should i limit their consumption???
Thanks Rob, More Great info, Really appreciate the time and effort you put into the video’s. Worm loads are so important especially to rookies like me. My Pigs are doing much much better, Thanks! Please check my last email I sent for idea about shipping costs
i always love watching you content
Thank you!

I raise Berkshire and Berkshire Cross. Mine found a comfrey patch. I have massive craters where it was
The stand thins the longer the pigs are on the chicory and rooting.
I bet!
Always good info from your channel, thanks so much! :)
Thanks for watching!

It’s found in a lot off places along highways from what I understand. Some people get mad at me for planting it because they consider it a weed.
Great video! What is the best 3 cover crop? Buckwheat, Chicory and Clover?
Buckwheat, chicory, and daikon radish

What's your opinion on over seeding chicory on aKentucky 32 and Dynamite Red Clover field?
Forgot to mention for cattle.
It works beautifully with fescue and clover in my experience.
Grows all over my pasture My cattle pick at it a little bit.
That’s been my observation as well. When there’s a little bit of it they eat it all, but they generally do not consume a lot.
