Michigan went run heavy after J.J. injured his ankle against Purdue and it only got worse at Penn State. a lot of fans knew something wasn't right with him. Harbaugh kept it under wraps until after the Bama game. Up until then they were more balanced. That's why they stopped passing after halftime against PSU. It hurt to plant and throw for the rest of the year.
Bama got beat the hell up by UM and JJ didn’t even have to do anything crazy. JJ gunna be one of the top 3 QBs taken no doubt
JJ will probably stay he is only a Jr
and the QB class is deeper than normal , he could contented for a high pick next class.
If he balls out, I don't think he stays but we will see. He's absolutely a return candidate.

That didn't age well,. He's going top 10 in this class..
He had NO wrs that were worth a damn his whole career,.
Penix and Daniels both had 3 wrs going to the pros,.
That's a HUGE difference as to why McCarthy wasn't slinging it 40 times a game,.

BS... yall are outta ur frkn mind if u think JJ McCarthy is a better QB than Bo Nix... based on what... pure speculation that's what cause if u wanna call a QB a "Game Manager" he should be the txt book definition. Jake Fromm was called a game manager and he did waaaay mire at UGA than McCarthy ever did... Bo Nix had to develop into what he now is and he worked his butt off took his beatings and I earned from them... man i wish UGA woulda played Michigan again yall woulda seen then... they'dve got stomped.
Jake Fromm had a weak arm and limited NFL traits. College production is not an indicator of NFL success. BTW, Bo Nix did not perform well in Mobile, he is a 5th-year starter who struggles to process information and is a one-read QB. JJ doesn't have the numbers but who cares. Also...NFL scouts are higher on JJ than fans are...

Bo lost to Washington by a frickin field goal with *another* 1st round QB on the other side. Bo makes better decisions than picket and is a far better athlete in addition to the arm thing. And how does growth and improvement not "transfer to the league"? wat? MOST QBs take time, almost all of them. His footwork is better than Drake Maye's.
Mccarthy is much better than Nix. His numbers would have been better, but he only played 2 1/2 quarters for the first 9 games and was hurt after that until the Bama game. Other QB's were inflating their stats in 4th quarters during blowouts. A lot of people like Mccarthy more than Maye as his numbers under pressure are the best of the group while Maye's pressure stat line is really bad. When I watched Nix, all I saw was a bunch of screens and short passes where his playmakers picked up the yards for him.
McCarthy is going Top 10,. ---->>>> Bank on it,.
One thing people don't realize is that Michigan's Wr Wore was the worst group on the Team,.
Guys like Jaden Daniels and Michael Penix both had 3 Wrs going to the pro's.
Michigan's best wr Roman Wilson MIGHT be a Late 3rd rd'er but probably a late 4th realistically~
J.J. M is miles ahead of Bo Nix. Bo is like the perfect 2nd round prospect. Go to the Falcons with Arthur Smith. Unless some team wants that 5th year option flexibility with him.
I agree JJ over Nix. Bo is a day 2 prospect for sure.
I actually really like nix to the falcons. Great run game, playmaker on the outside with big catch radiuses, good o line. I got JJ going to the broncos.
McCarthy played on a stacked Michigan team with a NFL quality head coach. There's 15 guaranteed players going to the NFL 2 are first round locks 9 or 10 of said 15 will be drafted in the first 3 rounds. Bo Nix is going to be a bigger star of the two in my opinion
@@CubbiesMLB I gotta disagree. This year and last year the receiving options were not great. Ronnie Bell, Roman Wilson, Cornelius Johnson are no where near first rounders.
This is a league changing draft class. People think Stroud is a beast just wait. Forget the draft projections here are the top 5 QB's that will emerge from this up coming draft. Dude throwing shade around Bo being older. lol He transferred then the covid thing hit. I think its good for QB's to finish their college careers because alot of talented 21-22 years arent quite ready. That extra year or more makes them a bit more seasoned and mature imo. Good segment

@@TonydaGM you don't watch college football do you? Dude completed 77 percent of his passes and went 9 games without a sack on the Ducks who played against impressive teams. Not to mention he had several clutch performances including one in the Holliday Bowl game. If he improves his arm strength and footwork he could be a superstar QB

He played behind a top o-line against weaker defenses. He had 2 NFL recievers. He was throwing too wide open recievers all the time. Bo Nix has the second highest Bust potential I have ever given. Zach Wilson was a guaranteed bust. You are looking at statistics. You don't draft with statistics, the only stat you should look at is YAC. 65% is ridiculous.

@BrockPurdyMrSuperBowlChamp Every play of every game for every drafted, the offense and recievers have everything to do with YAC. Nix is a one read QB who benefits from the system and supporting cast. It's obvious you are a Nix fan.
i think a very telling statistic is that JJ Mccarthy has more air yards passing than Bo Nix this year. Bo Nix has over double the amount of YAC per completetion that JJ does.
That more of a sign of the style of offense the teams run. You can also point to the fact that JJ is surrounded by NFL talent.
The idea that YAC has nothing to do with the QB was also something I was told when PFM came to Denver. I was told we shouldn't be excited because of this. 🤔
@@vincentbuscarello1357 YAC does have to do with a QB but Oregon tried a ton of short passes and screens so people are okay with it bc Nix has a lot of passing yards.

Gentlemen ! Your podcast on this subject is of paramount importance to MY team, because I regret to say., we are still, looking for THAT GUY ; a for real QB who can & will run our HC's offense. We had to trade for our HC, giving up a 1st Rd pick last year, + all we gave up for a QB who just has not been the QB our HC needs, indeed demands. So, picking at # 12 in Rd 1, we have to get it right. There is no margin for error. And, if it is to be a QB, then these 2 prospects are front & center for My team. And gents, at now 77 y/o, & a Broncos fan from the very beginning, 1961, I've seen 'em come & I've seen 'em go . THE one common denominator being that except for # 7 & #18, no one has yet figured out the magic algorithm for selecting a QB in the NFL Draft. No one. I just hope my team gets it right this time. Even if JJM balls out in the championship game, he really needs another year. He’s still 4th best QB (at best) in this draft. Another year and he could be top QB. That said, might be a good idea to get drafted by mid team late in 1st or early 2nd vs worst team.
Yeah, we talked about JJM potentially going back to school on yesterday's pod. He doesn't have enough true dropback passing reps and it shows.
Why? He checks every box as a franchise QB.
