    Cripple or failed emerger types often out fish others. Only a small percentage of insects fail to hatch or get swamped on point of leaving the water. Trout and grayling will both target them as an easy meal in the same manner as a cat playing with injured prey. During any hatch on river or lake ignore these at your own risk.

    It’s a Pale morning Dun as tied by the great Davy McPhail on RUclips 6 years ago. If you going to copy fly patterns at least credit the tyers or use the flies proper name.
