This is a very very good video NME !!! In addition, there are still not many tutorials on how to produce on the RC-505. I own a 505 too and I spent a lot lot of time searching for the perfect kick because I think it's one of the most important sound on the beatbox drums. I finally found something that is close to this : I take the "EQ" effect and put "Low" to +20dB, "Low-Mid" to -20dB, "High-Mid" to -20 dB and "High" to -20 dB, then I do a Lipsroll kick but a really powerful lipsroll kick ( I put the mic as close as possible to my mouth in order to get the sound properly, I already did it on my channel if you want to hear it). What I like with this kick is that it has a really good impact and it reaches low frequencies. The other kick that I like too works by using the exact same effect of the previous one but this time I do a normal kick, then I keep the "EQ" effect and I add the "Guitar to bass" effect, I put the "Guitar to bass" effect to the maximum level but I reduce the "EQ" effect to 0 dB, then I do a throat kick with a low frequency in order to add more depth to my kick. Voilà ! I just wanted to share my experience with loop and I hope I can help some people :).( sorry for my english I'm french xD). This video is great and I'm waiting for the others ^^ !
+20, -20, -20, +3-7 help me lot for drums in just one effect. For some sounds i can quickly edit numbers in high-mid and high and keep 2 effects for other sounds.
I just wanted to say, thank you so much for these tutorials. It's really necessary to have tutorials from professional loopers. I wish more would be like you and Inkie!!!
There's a huge lack of beatbox looping tutorials that are actually about the looping process not just reiterating the manual. Please keep making these, good stuff!
Excellent. I’ve been waiting 2 years since getting my 505, for tutorials exactly like this! Please keep them coming! A request, for down the line would be, on how you construct a song, how you separate different sounds and your thought processes on actually creating a full piece. If that makes sense!
I don't even own an RC 505 but i still watched liked n subscribe lol, love your stuff man keep up the vids and support for the comunity this was really needed.
Damn, professional loopstation tutorial! I thought I would never see it :,). Thank you NME and keep it up! It can be a great journey through the arcana of RC 505! I will follow it for sure!
Thanks a lot for making this video! I recently bought the RC-505 but struggle finding tutorials on how to use it. Will be looking forward to the next tutorials!
Thank you for this video I was asking most of the pro looper make tutorials of rc 505 and you do!!!! Love from Nepal NME HOPING for such types of tutorials a lot ❤️❤️
First of, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! Will be staying tuned for the next tutorials. I’m interested about the cable setup for using the Loop station.
Oh, and can you maybe make a video about what kinda gear besides the loopstation we need to start out? Also software maybe? How do all these presets work?
Hey NME ... I think you should upload all your rounds on gbb 19 loopstation so you will get a lot of subscribers and revenue ... this is a great idea ... because I love all your rounds during gbb because it's so good to hear
I always watch every time you perform Nme, I really can't beat the box but I like and always follow each of your matches for example >> Tomazacre, Guardian, D-Low, Napom, Colaps, Braz, Alem, Saro and you are in between, I hope you can beat Rytmind on the next Loopstation ... good job friend, always success, hopefully you will get different inspiration .... From INDONESIA
Wow... I'm really gonna look into these tips.... Please do more videos like that!!! And keep your shit up! I love your music! It's crazy how you really know the art of music making!!! Waiting for more!
Hey nme, great video, i learnt a lot with it, can you please make a video about tracks? how to edit them or add effects to them, i see loopers do that a lot in battles and i have no idea how you do that, thx!
Really cool new ways of conceptualizing percussion on a 505 - my question is: should tracks 1 and 2 still be Pan Center? Ibarra told me all percussion should be Centered. Follow-up question: if percussion is already using 2 of the 5 tracks, wouldn’t it require lots of deleting and redo-ing later on in a routine for bass line, overdubbed melody with harmonies, 1-shot etc?
Nice tutorial and it will help a lot. The only "problem" i see in recording drums like this is the "broken loop bug" which appears if the next (or another) recorded track/loop is longer than the first one, if the first one is at least 1 measure long. You know what I mean?
Loved it so much! I have an RC505 too. I’ve been playing with it but I can’t master it. There are not many RC 505 tutorial online. So, please bring us more loopstation tutorial mate!!!
I loved this tutorialt, thank you man. Im really beginner. I think that woulf be awsome if you could record 1 full song for us and Tell us how to do that. I mean you could make a full music and Tell is how to do the same and Than we áll could have that music in our ways. :) that could be a good lesson for us aswell
