- Less than a year old and already ranked among the elite. Erik Anders Lang plays a brand new, breathtaking course, Point Hardy Golf Club, at the tip of St. Lucia on this Adventures in Golf, presented by United and @RandomGolfClubFilms.
Highlighting golf's fun, human, and humorous side. Golf is no longer just the stuffy world of middle-aged country club members. Skratch brings you golf content for a new generation.
From getting the most exotic tee times on Earth (see: Adventures in Golf) to digging into the game's interesting personalities (see: Skratching the Surface, Finding the Fairway), Skratch showcases a side of golf many would never get to see.

While appealing and definitely kind on the eyes, I'm missing the "every man" aspect of AIG (and the ethos behind RGC) that was highlighted so often in past seasons. This particular episode seems incredibly exclusive in a way that is hard to rally behind. Now if the locals were golfing more or had their own history (even if it is new) with the sport, then that would balance this story nicely. Instead, many of the comments below feel accurate. I'm glad the team got to experience this, sincerely, but I just don't know what the motivation is other than platforming a rather elite/exclusive club for a sport already viewed as elitist.
infomercials are are hard to disguise...
It's not that deep... Also, they will all benefit from it economically.
Maybe its because the rich watch this show a lot? Idk theyre people too just saying.
got like halfway through this and realized this was just a giant commercial for some ultra rich ultra private golf course I will never be able to play. So sick guys!!
have to agree. I don't know how much say the team has in production but this was stinker, brutal trying to spin this as feel-good, and you could tell Eric was struggling.
He hardly played any golf.
1000%. Love EAL and this series but this is all corporate boys' club chest-pounding. This does not grow the game. This makes the game more exclusive and offers a pie in the sky the average weekend 15 handicap muni player will only dream of being able to afford to travel to and play.
A golf course takes a lot of people to make it work, many of the locals working at this course are not making huge amounts of money, but enough. I was in St Lucia 2009, at the time there was anti tourist sentiment and settler. I couldn't afford to play there. For a people who's biggest source of income is tourism to protest against tourism says a lot, very brave and there had to be a disparity there in how employed people were being treated. I really enjoyed the episode but I fully understand your points. It's a catch 22 situation, the island may never have golf, some white boys made it happen. There are plenty of golf courses to play on for the not so rich. The Sandals resort I stayed on had a 9 hole.
@@chrispannerz4084 did you see any golf? I think you saw plenty. Sorry Connor but your post and every reply is just whining because you need to. So much misplaced logic its ridiculous. Have any of you been there, have you been anywhere?
Wow. What a contrast between the Iona episode and this one. Like two different universes.
That wasn't an adventure, that was a paid ad lol. Don't get me wrong, would love to go there, would love to play the course but that just did not feel in line with the series.
I have watched the full video and I do agree with the wisdom of the crowd, this video very much was not an adventure. This was nothing shy of how the PGA is a 'great' organization run off of volunteers and tax exempt business practices. I'm glad I could watch an Adventure through the process of making yet just another course that will be played by few and talked about by fewer, there is no history here and no story. This same process is done across America disrupting historic farms and homes on the quest to simply "keep up with the jones" to be above your neighbor. This channel became one of my favorites not because I play golf I do not. I just work at a course and enjoy a good story, something this channel has captivated in also every video besides this one, they are right this was an advertisement but for not a community, yet another mega real estate business. Strange because the average RUclips-golfer a term that has flooded the industry in recent years is far from the opulent few willing to chase their happiness across to the world to another box to live in and slightly different grass to simply wack a ball on.
Eric I mean no hate at the end of the day you doing your job and you are damn good at it. The praise that Eric once gave the Northwood Golf Club and the good man Glaylord Shops, along with countless other hard working people from small communities that are run off of pride and heart. Not the endless bank accounts of real estate moguls and investment bankers. The 20,000 square foot homes are not what makes golf the game people love its the since of community and the idea that the course can not treat anyone different. That not a single person on this planet can afford the Perfect Round of Golf.
15:29 “…from that time Edwin became our good friend…” i.e. everyone has a number. Kudos to her and her son for a savvy negotiation. Not only did she get land she’s guaranteeing future business with wealthy customers.
I want the title "Director of Happiness"
Erik, I am wondering how much Cabot paid you for this commercial. I certainly hope it was quite a lot.
The pull to the dark side is real….
I liked the episode and the story. Sure it had a commercial feel, but I wouldn’t have known anything if EAL didn’t make this video, great content
Slum golf, Sheep golf, Compton golf, Urban golf, Ice golf, Outback golf, Park Golf, Northwood, The Island of Iona, etc. I thought the whole idea was to tear down the inaccessibility of "old golf" and get back to it's roots as an everyman's game. Different Entities I know but this doesn't line up with Random Golf Club's ethos. This is just a 32min ad for the guys that are ruining golf.
Great sponsor! .. great job relating the ad but with personal touch
There can be many different Adventures in golf. If Eric ever gets a chance to do this with Augusta, are you all going to have the same energy? I’m glad he’s showcasing all different aspects of the game and how it affects the world around us
Stopped the video halfway through. This is a far cry from the AIG I have come to know and love watching. You can do better than creating commercials for people selling real estate at $27,000+ a square foot.
There is a wide variety of adventures available, much like the diverse content found in videos. It can be fascinating to explore these options. While it may not be feasible for me to embark on this adventure at the moment, the idea of playing golf there certainly appeals to me! And if I had the opportunity to play there, like the RGC team, I would probably use it too!
Love this one Erik and Skratch!! Great story telling!!
5 minutes of golf b-roll and 27 minutes of dudes selling viewers on Cabot golf and real estate, all decked out in Cabot shirts and hats -__- What a great adventure!
What a great ending! Me and my father play golf together when he is in town. I love and enjoy every minute of it!!
Aaaw, cmon. Cant stand the majority of comments. I wont play any of the courses that are presented on this channes anyway. The other episodes are as much a commercial as this one. I'm happy for everyone who is able to buy property and play there. For me, this is a great story. The course looks amazing. Enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Erik + Team!
Pretty commercial for the crazy rich. Not much of an adventure in golf. Hope Cabot paid you well.
Broaden horizons shouldn’t be as scary as myopia actually is…
Amzing story with Dad and son..awesome
It's a shame so many of you turned it off. There's a really good story here about Father and Son. Lost my Dad in December and it made me tear up, this golf course brought them back together. Great stuff as always.
wheres the golf? 20:38 was the most entertaining part of the whole video.
I have been to St Lucia and saw the course but never played on it. Also went to Marigot Bay at the time George Foreman and Aretha Franklin had homes there, I wonder if they played on the course? St Lucia is absolutely gorgeous. When I was there we were advised not to go off resort by yourself. I hope that has changed. Amazing episode!
So many wonderful stories made me smile so much....Xx
Amazing course. Excellent service and staff. Much love! 💜
Whoever did the audio editing is an absolute chef!
I just wanted to watch some golf.
Have played Cabot Cliffs and Links multiple times. Great courses. Can’t wait to get down there to play Port Hardy!
Damon is such a ball of positive energy
Man those United Airlines commercials hit so much differently now.
Adventures of the top one percent. Maybe a couple of billionaires will watch this.
Great video, the course looks stunning! It's incredible how Coore and Crenshaw were able to work it onto that difficult site. Always entertaining to see all the different sides of golf
*Love Eric representing Northwood 25:39
Lordy! What a track ⛳️
Absolutely supersonic with planes, automobiles, boats & copters 😂😂
#stunning
Phew, I'm the lucky one as I don't have to buy a house on my local course to be able to play it.
This course reminds me of Royal Isabela in Puerto Rico. The views are incredible there
That links course is awesome
I played this course and it was the most amazing experience of my life. I will never forget
I get that this is a private course. However, don't forget this is on United flights all over the world - It's always been sponsored by United, and the wealthy traveler is the audience target on this one. It's just one out of so many great vids EAL/RGC makes for Skratch and this series. How many shows of "make believe" do you watch otherwise? I'll bet it's more unbelievable than this place. Enjoy it for what it is! Neverland Golf
Dig the Northwoods jacket! I snagged a black one same design last year!!!
Great documentary
This ain't it. CSL is just another ultra private, high price course for a select few people. It doesn't add anything to the world of golf.
Cry is free
You gonna be okay?
Show me on the doll where the internet hurt you …
The course adds jobs for the local community to help feed their families. You need happiness.
Boohoo
Thank you for doing right by Margie.
Loved it.
Spent my Honeymoon here, Saint Lucia is a beautiful place filled with amazing people! Bummed i missed out on Cabot, not sure how i’d manage to get on lol, but this sure gives me another reason to go back!
Is there a master list of all the places you’ve been with their locations?
One word .. Awesome!
20:38 absolute piss missile
Thank you, I didn't laugh that hard in forever I literally cried. A piss missile, what an expression!
pureness is the only way to describe that shot
Yeah, this felt gross.
This is nothing like the rest of the aig episodes, disappointing, but I’m a fan of second chances. I look forward to more good videos in the future.
There was a golf course there prior to Cabot redesigning it
why werent they playing the golf course as that is what it is all about, there was deadset 30secs of it at the end
Nice course and great video. But. More importantly. Where can I get that white with yellow stripes shirt!
How is this show not on Netflix? Should be available to a larger audience. Really great show.
This is the Roadhouse bar from the new movie on netflix lol.
Private course add nothing to my interest in golf. No access, no interest. Only watching cause it’s your show I love.
Comments are so funny on this one. Forgot all you get to define what an adventure in golf is LOL. Great episode and EAL and Skratch deserve what I can assume is a paid ad. Doesn’t bother me, 8 seasons of phenomenal free content!
*Must be a tough life, I tell ya.*
A very different AIG.
Beautiful video .
What a wonderful story for the 1%ers that will get to play there. Only 900 for 18 I’m guessing…
Wow, a lot of hate for a golf video. Looks fantastic! All of the Cabot’s do.
Yo Eric, How do I become a construction worker on this project?
Had 2 friends get to play last month. Apparently it hasn't been made fully private yet. Anyone interested might want to make a phone call and confirm before the opportunity is gone...
Corporate Real Estate bros really hit a gold mine. Great job. This was simply an ad. Love your stuff, Skratch and EAL, but this is just an ad for an expensive golf destination and real estate for the filthy rich. This video was a miss. I didn't even get halfway through it.
This episode was too corporate for me, big fan of AIG; but barely any minutes of actual golf play unlike previous seasons. Bring back the old season vibes!
I disagree with a lot of the comments. Adventures in golf are not just the off the beaten path locations. It’s just as important to learn about the courses that are out of reach for most people, whether geographically or financially
Makes one video about a new course and everyone freaks out…. Jeez guys loosen up a bit. Still a great piece if you ask me
Pretty course but this seems to go against everything Skratch given the exclusivity of the course. Kind of sucks
Does United's CEO get to play from the reds? 😂
Judge Smail's kid vibes..
This episode of AiG brought to you by Cabot. Can’t wait to never play here
Never understand how people whine about free content
My boss has hiked those pitons.. i hope one day if i work hard enough they too can play cabot St. Lucia
Lots of people on here crying. F Them. Great content thanks for sharing and looks like an awesome place.
Hey Margerie blink if you are being held against your will
Shame that this place of exclusively for hedgefund managers and other folks who are so busy gouging the common man that they won't actually have time to play golf there...
Ease up team! Man has got to get paid here and there somehow.. This shit ain’t free
Regardless if it might seem like a commercial no need to be negative when it seems like a paradise surrounded by the natural environment and it’s a fucking golf course that’s why we’re here
Cringe
Slowly changing to corporate golf greed….
Interesting story, wish it wasn’t the rich choosing golf in retirement to focus on $$ making through attracting more mega rich to buy homes and effectively ruin a place with little land to offer up
Imagine hating on this video🤣🤣
Every adventure is an advertisement for the places he goes. They are sponsored by an air line, what do you think this channel is? Yes this one is very exclusive and expensive but so are most top 100 courses. The more golf courses in the world the better and if you hate this story you must be a sad individual. Don't hate because you will never go there just be happy places like this even exist.
You need an episode on just MEN'S STYLE
If the owners paid EAL for making a dope Ad, then so be it lol EAL has bills to pay and a life to live. Tell me you wouldn't do the same if you were in his shoes . Besides he is a great filmmaker and golf documentarian. Quit crying ppl
I guess golf still is for stuffy old dudes in agyle pants.
This is sad for this island. Pure colonialism repackaged.
Now I remember why I quit watching EAL and golf in general,, soft selling from the start to finish.. bye for good.
gross
Have played Cabot Cliffs and Links multiple times. Great courses. Can’t wait to get down there to play Port Hardy!
