Just ordered the Cheesesteak from Jim's on Goldbelly. I really liked it. Thought it had a lot of meat in it & they offer it w/ onions, mushrooms & sweet peppers which is the way I like my cheesesteaks. Check it out next time. Love your reviews.
Hey Doug. So in your review here, you suggest they send out a cheesesteak kit. You should order the cheesesteaks from Donkey’s Place in Camden off of Goldbelly. That’s exactly what it is, a cheesesteak kit. You cook the meat and onions, put them on the roll with cheese and their spicy sauce. It is awesome!
A cheese steak kit wouldn't work unfortunately. The reason is Amoroso's Rolls.. baked fresh/ delivered daily and meant to be consumed within 48hrs. The bagged version of Amoroso's isn't the same ingredient list as the ones fresh delivered daily in and around Philadelphia
Too be honest im surprised the instructions are saying to warm up the whole sandwich in the oven.I would take the meat out of the bread, lightly cover it and microwave it,till its just hot.Put it back in the bread, thats the closest its going to come back to the way it was...bu putting the whole thing in the oven, you will be drying the bread out, before the meat reheats,as well as drying the meat.If the bread is meant to be toasted,i feel that the restaurant would have done that allready for you, since they are having you simply warm the whole thing in the oven, and would be impossible to fully toast the bread while the sandwich is assembled.
Very simple solution I don’t understand why after years it’s not done. Add a drop-down for extra cheese on the side $10. Everyone makes more money and customers get what they want. Come on Goldbelly wake up!
The steak spots are overrated and have become tourist traps. Johns is great for hot sandwiches, but not going with a hot roast pork sandwich is an out of town move man. Roast pork w/ American cheese and cherry or long hots is a Philly classic, especially in the winter time or around New Years Day.
Goldbelly great awesome concept but way way way way to expensive for frozen food no matter where it comes from. Frozen food will always taste different always. Not worth the ultra premium price in my opinion
@@BlockingThePlate I pay that premium price at Restaurants because someone is cooking it for me. You do bring up great points. Unfortunately 109 Shekles for two pieces of frozen semi frozen lasagna is highway robbery I care not where it's from. I'm aware the establishment and Goldbelly have to be profitable. They could slash those prices in half and still end up in the black. You could damn near buy a plane ticket to Philly for the price you paid for 4 cheesesteaks these days with crude barrels going for 20 bucks.
Thank you for the reviews
keep the goldbelly reviews coming, very helpful....
Thanks for watching!

Great review dude 👍

Donkey's is still on my watch list!
Did you order any ribs from Texas? Keep the reviews coming. Thanks from another lefty🤣.
Not yet, not sure how they'd reheat. BBQ is definitely on the radar though!

I agree, the rolls make the steak!
A man of great taste a see, you deserve my subscribe and many more
Lmao wow, man, you're funding Goldbelly by yourself. Well done.
How does this compare to Straight Outta Philly in Tacoma? Considering the cost difference and availability/locality. I've been to Pats...just curious.
@@BlockingThePlate not sure, its been longer than that for me!
Dont put on microwave you need a steamer to thaw them then put them in the oven

I'm not as big on roast pork, but I'm sure that's great too!
