The map pool just favors Viper right now. But you also have to take note that Viper is always ran with another controller. In ranked in low elo at least, she's not a good solo controller. I cannot stress enough that Viper isn't just a controller anyone can pick up and learn easily. I think she's fine right now, if anyone suggests a nerf, just make her mollies more expensive or her orb. Make Viper have to consider what util to buy on iffy buy rounds or eco rounds. Her smokes don't last that long when both are up, her ult is already 9 points.

Phx is not js a ranked demon if he isn’t picked in vct it doesn’t automatically means he’s a shit duelist for vct and MOST certainly not d tier, he has util to wall and grab info with 6 orb ult and that’s the same tier as DEADLOCK.

SO… Sage is in a fine spot in the meta… she doesn’t do anything spectacular and gets overshadowed by cypher, however if you have a sage on your team it’s fine on specific maps like Icebox.

Viper did not get buffed since last season when she werent picked that much. Imo, she dont need to be nerfed : the fact is, double controler is getting played a lot and viper is needed for that. There is not that much game with viper alone.

I love viper and she is obviously crazy strong , however in MOST of the maps she’s played in double controller. If you pick her as solo controller in solo queue ranked on anything other than icebox / breeze then ur crazy
viper is good in lotus too
if you know how to play viper well and ur not in immo+ it’s fine to run solo viper on any map (aside from ascent)

The more and more I’ve played recently I feel like Valorant could be due just to have riot give a huge update that just changes everything like we had around a year and a half ago maybe that made a lot of random agents good like brim with the double stim things like that maybe I’m wrong but I feel like having huge changes would be so fresh
I think sage wall should have more health per block and stay up for longer. It would also be cool if her slows added a status effect to anyone who touches it, reducing movement speed or agility for a few seconds.
I just thought of a new agent idea.
Fan Agent Idea: OZONE
Passive - Reinforce
- He can throw out specialized kunai. Enemy abilities near his knives can't be placed.
Signature (E) - Antismoke
- He can call a smoke on an enemy and it will heavily restrict the enemy's movement.
Basic (Q) - Antiflash
- He can send a nanoflash to hover over a given point and it will FLASH+DEAFEN the nearest enemies for a short time.
Basic (C) - Antistep
- He can teleport to a targeted location. When this happens, all enemies in the AoE will get FLASHED+DEAFENED.
Ultimate (X) - Unbreakable
- He enters a flow state where if he gets killed, the enemy will get FLASH+SUPPRESSED. If he's near one of his kunai, they'll collect the charge and he can use it a second time.

The thing with viper is that her kit is soo damn good. A good viper player dont even need to know how to take gunfights.
At this point, if you buff harbor to viper level, double controller setups will be broken. People would still pick viper and combine with a strong harbor... imagine the chaos...

@@Kwispyno, the latest nerf reduced how much the fuel goes up by. it was rly small tho, she needs a big nerf such as the fuel regen is halved and she cant pick up her orb.
Remember guys these rated are just depending from their abilities . but with your good aim and mechanics , you can rise deadlock into SSS+ if you want

Well no shit lol. Better way to put it is that while the abilities obviously matter a lot, you can still make it to radiant with any agent as long as your mechs and knowledge are good enough. It's much more important to learn how to play the game itself rather than learning specific agents.

There’s definitely lack of competition for viper. Viper has a unique kit where she can gain space for her team with her utility (wall and smoke) but she can also play like a sentinel and hard anti push a site with her mollies. The other agent that also does that it’s brimstone but he’s weaker than viper and he’s not very good for this map pool. Don’t think viper needs a nerf, she’s this strong because pros have analyzed her kit to the fully. Who knows something similar happens to Iso? We never know. I remember viper being one of the weakest agents in the game and then skyrocketed once pros started using her.
No she definitely needs a nerf. You CANNOT buff harbor to her level. The double controller setups would be far too strong then. You also can’t compare brim and viper as line smokers are a completely different beast. What they need to do it is lean in on her identity. A more defensive line smoker while harbor is the aggressive one. My change would be to make vipers orb permanent (can’t be picked up) making it better during set ups and making it consistent with her wall. Additionally remove the vulnerable on the Molly and increase the damage slightly.
Just make her util more expensive so she isn't unplayable in ranked. Viper is ALWAYS ran with another controller in pro play. You're insane to run Viper as a solo controller unless its Icebox or Breeze. @@dadrako1581

Absolutely not. Pro teams already run viper/harbor and it’s very oppressive to play against it’s basically phantom goes brr simulator.
Viper in ranked is fine, she’s a must pick on icebox/breeze and you only start to see double controller comps in other maps in imm 3/radiant. Your average silver player has no clue what they’re doing with her.
On the other hand harbor is potentially one buff away from being just as oppressive and annoying in his own as viper

@@dadrako1581 my only concern with that is how riot can balance viper in pro play without absolutely murdering her in ranked. Yes she’s strong but you don’t see her outside of icebox/breeze but in pro play she basically has a 100% pick rate in every map.

viper is not strong at all , high pick rate doesnt mean she is broken, they only pick viper ALONG with other controllers and thats why she has a high pick rate she is weak alone

Viper cannot get nerfed. The problem is harbor is wayyyyyy to week. Buff harbor and viper pick rate goes down. She has been so nerfed. All they need to do is make a viable line smoker. Also why is Jett and raze allowed to be picked every game but you can’t pick viper. She has been nerfed more than any agent. Anymore and I don’t think she will be viable to play against bots.

Because she's in the ranked superstars category in the video? This is a pro meta list (basically useless for most of us). If it was a ranked tier list, she'd be super high. Reyna gets almost no play by pro players.

I love viper but I think that she needs some nerf/s like having 1 molly instead of 2 seeing that viper's role is more of a defense tank than a "unfair attack smoker".
