Hi and welcome to this question right here. So we've got 5x times the 2x. . . oops. 5x times the 2x minus 1.2, okay? What happened is because we have two terms in this bracket separated by the plus minus sign right there, right? The 5x needs to get multiplied by the 2x and the 5x needs to get multiplied by the negative 1.2, okay? Here we go.
5x times 2x is just going to get you a 10x square. Five times two is 10. X times x is x squared. Remember same variable, add the exponent. One plus one is a two. Minus. Five times 1.2 gives yourself, I believe, that's a six, okay? The x is still there because there's no one to play with it. You just have to bring him down. And this is your final answer. 10x squared minus 6x. And why the negative here? Because that's a negative. Positive times a negative is still a negative, right? Thanks for watching.
