Why is Marys right arm painted so long and her left hand so big? Its almost as big as the Angels head. Is there a meaning to it? Cause he was so good at anatomy.

You are correct: Leonardo's knowledge on anatomy was great, so, often, in his paintings he was using the tricks you noticed to make the whole composition more balanced and/or for specific meanings

Do you know anything about the hidden meaning of Leonardo da Vinci's paintings such as "The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne" and "Virgin of the Rocks"? All the videos on RUclips only describe the technique and other obvious details. One might mention the rather fanciful suggestion of Sigmund Freud. And that's it! But it is obvious that the Christian imagery of these works are only the visible layer. What do you think is hidden inside?

Hi, there are always many theories on Leonardo's paintings, but I prefer to stay on facts

@@ExploringArtwithAlessandro Facts show that although most of da Vinci's famous works were made to order, the customers were not satisfied with them. Moreover, they were not finished in time and the artist completed them at his own request over the years. It seems that Leonardo's goal was not to satisfy the wishes of the client, but to use his works to broadcast certain religious and philosophical views. Of course, the biblical images and stories were only a cover for the anti-Christian content.

a great introduction in this painting, only the superficial backround "music" doesn´t to justice, neither to the painter nor to the presenter! It´s simply distracting.
