    Bull Moose Fight!
    A bull gets squirrelly and chases off a cow out of frustration, then goes looking for trouble. He finds it in the form of a more mature bull. They fight and end up crashing in the alders with groans and grunts. The lesser bull comes flying out seemingly unharmed, and the older bull comes out injured, and very lame. The first bull goes into the trees to hide/sulk. It appears he wasn't the winner after all. Enjoy and if you like, please subscribe!
    Thanks for watching our channel, we are the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part time Alaska.) It is our passion to document wildlife of any kind, but moose are at the top. In New Hampshire we spend a lot of our spring/summer hours in kayaks photographing loons and moose in the waters of New Hampshire. And hike many miles in Alaska seeking all manner of wildlife in the fall.

    Never been around moose in person, but find it facinating the way they seem to walk parallel to each other for quite a distance before angling toward each other. Love the video.

    • @MooseManNaturePhotos
      @MooseManNaturePhotos  4 года назад +2

      What he was doing was raking the antlers against the trees to get another bull to come in. We don't call the bulls in; they usually come in hot. We just want normal moose to moose interaction/behavior. We watched a guy rake last year who was using a little point and shoot camera...he was about to get himself killed for all the havoc that created. Thanks for the comment!

    You can see how the horns or whatever they're called our kind of Staind that happens that happens because moose grow this weird for thing around their horns and they have to strip it off and it looks horrifying but they do that and that's what stains their horns

      That was me, Rick was filming that scene. The bull was otherwise distracted to I knew I could get to some higher ground; I"d seen the other bull in the distance making his was over and figured there would be some sort of confrontation. Thanks!

      @@MooseManNaturePhotos Did you think the bull could smell you, and if so would it have mattered since it was distracted? I'm sorry for all the questions. I' m just trying to learn how they behave.

      @@johnf.kennedy4075 Never bothered by questions, at all. Thanks for them all. These moose are used to humans being around in this case; they really don't care. Normally I'd be very much aware of wind direction, staying hidden and silent.
