I bought a 4710 set up just like that one last spring. It got used for just about all the field work and haying as well as everyday chores. So far it has been pretty good to us. It has a lot of power for its size and is really easy on fuel. Although I really need to find another tractor to take some of the load off of the 4710, I have had it less than a year and it already has over 800 hours on it.
Guy in WY thank ya bud yea it was the best fit for now in the future we’d like to trade the McCormick for a bigger tractor around 120hp but that may be 10 years who knows
Nice tractor, I see many of my favorite strong points of our 3645 is continued on the 4710. Good luck with it and don’t wait too long on a good long tractor working video on this one.
Bagwell Farms I’m looking forward to it, I’m stuck with used for price range, but I love our Massey 3645 4wd and loader. It has the same axles and the Sisu 3 cylinder that is now the AGCO power unit, a few small bugs and we will have a great tractor. Ours is the synchro shuttle model so no solenoids to worry about. 75pto hp 91pto engine hp and fluid and loader probably comes in at close to 10,000 lbs. I used it unloading rolls in a cow tramped mud lot the other day and I am amazed at the difference of a 4wd, it is our first one. I know the 2wd and the lx665 skid steer wouldn’t have been any good, but it worked around without tearing up the ground bad. I’m looking forward to seeing yours working, I looked at those before decided I had to go used.
I am from south east of St. Louis and drove down to see Cabe an bought a 1840 inline baler mostly from watching your videos I looked at your 1837 first then bought the 1840 and like you said he can sell equipment before I left I also purchased a bale accumulated as well. Enjoy your videos very much.
Our 6180 has 540 and 1000 and 540e. The 540e is nice though especially on ours because at 2000 rpm in standard 540 it goes through way more fuel. It will big a little bit going up steep hills and stuff while baling in 540e but it’s not enough to justify leaving it in 540 standard.
I have always like the Massey Tractors breakdowns are rare but make sure you change the oil after 100 hours and get rid of the factory oil a little thin I have found but other than that great equipment.Specially long hours more comfortable.
Hope it is I’m mostly Deere fan but trying this out a lot cheaper I’m assuming just green paint we are small two tractor custom operation we sell all our hay to some good customers that buy us out every year
Wynne Hay farm the 57 an 67 are both really nice I’d go with the 67 just because you get more power an a larger frame tractor for a little more money I know a 6713 with a 931 loader runs around mid to high 70s
Wow I really really like this tractor! I went for a New Holland T4 but damn after seeing this, I'm starting to feel like I made a mistake! It definitely has more inside storage than mine and has a far more advanced dash!
We just bought the 4610m series almost went with that on need another tractor for our hay operation may do 5710 on that one good luck with your new tractor
That 4700 has a lot more tractor compared to the 4600 series, reason why I went with the TS6 from New Holland in 2016... Not sure if they could come with econo-PTO for 1000 on those smaller tractors... too much HP draw I'm thinking. Even though it still was tough finding a Massey with the 1000 econo with the basic cab package. They put DEF on those 3 cylinders now!? The hell, friggin emissions..... Do they offer the Dyna-4s on those 4700 series now or not? I know when I was shopping around in 2016 the rumors from some of the dealers were that the 4700 could have a dyna-4 option but only on the premium packages... probably would have cost twice as much as the TS6 if it would be the case.
Farming 4G yea it’s definitely a upgrade but our 4610 was a dang good one. Yea you still can’t get dyna 4 in a 47 but they did make it available in the 5700 global series where last year you could only get it in the 5700sl the dyna 4 is about a 10 to 15000 dollar upgrade
Congratulations! Looks sweet! I went yesterday and looked at a 4709. I liked everything about it but somebody let the battery run down and it wouldn't start. Dealers are scarce here. Was there much price difference with the 931 loader?
My closet tractor dealer I have is a couple hundred yards away and they sell Massey, they also work on all brands of equipment, I know many people that go there to have there Kubota's, New Holland Case IH etc worked on. But all kidding aside they struggle to sell Massey tractors (agco equipment). You never hear a negative word about the guys at the Massey dealer but around here Massey just doesn't sell. Just never has for what ever reason.
On the dash cluster where you could flip through rpm, mph, & hours there is a temperature gauge selection in the middle. what is that temp gauge reading? Oil, water, turbo?
Nice looking ride. You'll really will like that air ride seat. Myself I'm a JD man. But hey: Ford, Chevy, GMC, it don't matter. It's what you want and that's all that matter's. It's still a nice looking tractor; I'm happy for ya. And your grandpa will come around after he's sat in that seat for about 4 hrs.,Ha Ha.
Sometimes you have let go of some things.........Just like the little 5045 we just got..... Not a monster but handles well, with and without a bale on front.....Might not be as comfortable as one with a cab but I.m old school anyway
It’s doing good so far everything we’ve done with it it’s performed well so will see if it’s anything like the 5400 it’ll be a good one I think you’ll like them green to red what made you change?
Bagwell Farms well to be honest we had the 6115 and the 6105 and didn't like the way it shifted and I've never been a huge Deere fan but my business partner is. Lol unfortunately our 40 ft flatbed and our 20 bale dump trailer are John Deere green😂 I've always liked the paint color at least LOL
tks8085 lol you’ll get some funny looks that’s for sure deere makes some good Equipment I just couldn’t get past the price yea those 6 series gears are laid out weird the 6700 mf would be it’s direct competition I’ve never seen anything any better about the deere we’ve had them an they were good tractors but we’ve always bought Massey’s because we felt the quality was the same for less money
The price played a huge role. My dad and his dad were always Massey fans. Gonna try going back with the family tradition!!! It was about $10k cheaper per tractor. That's a lot of fertilizer money 😂
Thanks for the nice video, I'm looking at a 4710 Right now. Has almost every option. Viso roof, creeper gears, and the FL3615 loader. Would like to know how has yours been. Any issues at all. How much Def will it use?
Fredzey 100 yea we have a set we don’t like them the single spears work better for rounds for us makes it easier to stack bales on the top run on trailers
Bagwell Farms oh ok here in NZ we have the 2 tine ones as standard work alright for hay and baleage bales occasionally the balls are sticky and are a bit frusting when stacking on trucks
Just test drove one of these today. Loved the tractor. Perfect size. Lovely and compact. Nice cab etc. But the gear changes were horrible. The tractor was very jumpy when using either the clutch or the button on the gear lever to change gear at any engine rev. The dealer said the same thing but said that they tried to calibrate it and it made no difference. The shuttle is smooth however. Was wondering is this jumpy gear changes unique to the tractor I test drove or does your one do the same. As I love the tractor otherwise. A video of gear changes would be much appreciated
I test drove a 4710 it shifted perfectly very smooth. I used the electronic clutch release button shifted on the go, I liked it. I was amazed of the shifting so easily to hit the gears in high range absolutely no noise.
DLH Farms yea it got up to 80 the other day an I couldn’t leave it on long it was so cold they did a recall on those an fixed the vent tubing an put a better fan motor in the tubing wasn’t sealed good an was allowing part of the cold air to blow in the top instead of the cab
tks8085 it would pull them probably but with that size mower an baler if it would be your main tractor I’d probably recommend a mid range tractor like the 5700 series or 6700 series I’m a firm believer in more rather than less I’d recommend a 5712 an maybe buy a couple 47s to help with the work load
i have been looking at these tractors for about a month now. the only thing that i don't like about it. It says right on it made in china ???? not sure what to think about that ??
There building them in South America now there supposed to start building them here in the USA 🇺🇸 soon but honestly as much as I don’t care for it being built in China so far it seems to be well built 🤷♂️
Oh yea I wouldn’t buy another tractor without air ride! As for the viseo yes an no we’ve never had one with it so it’s hard to say If id like it better but had we known it wasn’t much more for it we’d like to have gotten it an tried it
How does it telescope? 13:19 I was looking at one and couldn’t figure out how to telescope it in and out. In all honesty, I didn’t want to break something that wasn’t mine, lol.
Anthony Chavez. I test drove one the other day that had kind of a growl or chatter type noise every time the compressor came on. Thought maybe the belt was loose on it.
Anthony Chavez hey it does make a different noise than you normally hear now that we got some hours on it I think they all sound like that must be the style of compressor their using
Turned out to be the hood causing the vibration sounded like a rivet gun going off seems to have settled in doesn't do it any more. Really enjoying 4710 had a jd 6403 for 13yrs to long.
Ålö / Quicke are from Sweden not the UK... They do have a plant in the US so the loader might've been made there rather than in the main Swedish factory.
Moi Williams you can say what you want about the engine but their is nothing light about the front end of this tractor theirs not a utility tractor on the market as heavy as this one I know I looked
yes on the market now, but you cant compare this tractor to the old stuff like the 300 series, Massey ended in 2001 when banner lane closed, we have had a ferguson TE 20,35,135,565,575,375,390,4355 and they have all done us good and then lately we sold the 575 and bought a 5610 and shes only lasted 2 years and her engines shot, all the other tractors had perkins and this one had sisu or shitsu, and she was built in france, just saying agco has ruined massey.
Sisu/agco engines are way better then perkins. In cold weather all perkins engines are real bitches. Older MF tractors like the 300series having a really bad reputation here in germany, new generation tractors since 2003 ar respected much more.
deutz450 that is true, our 390 is a real pain in the arse to start in cold weather, but you cant say that perkins is not better only because of one series, look on all the other tractors, 100,200,500,600,3000,4200,4300,4400,5000series.....and alot more , starts great and lasts along time.
She's a fine looking machine.
Mac Farms hey you’d look good in one lol 😉
I think you're right lol Would make a good replacement for our 4253.

I hope you have good luck with it ours is still doing good! An glad I could help! thank you for watching!!
Got my 4710 last season and it definitely is king of the 100hp class.
5710sl is miles better
Nice tractor! I enjoyed hearing about the decision process y’all went through.
Guy in WY thank ya bud yea it was the best fit for now in the future we’d like to trade the McCormick for a bigger tractor around 120hp but that may be 10 years who knows
Please go to my channel and evaluate my first test video. We will have a lot of interesting things from the life of a simple guy in the village!
@@BagwellFarms why didn't you choose a dynashift? is a normal shifter better than that?
Been looking at this tractor myself. Long time Massy family here. Thanks for the review
no problem man thank you for watching if you like masseys your in the right place
I’m amazed that a 3 cylinder makes 100hp.

steve mondal thank you for watching if you have any questions let me know
Thanks for the overview, very interesting. I like Massey tractors even though I don't own one now. Had a 573 open cab but needed a cab.
Man i knew it was a 4710 you was trying to through me off congrats on the new tractor
Jimmy Harris lol what? It has a 931 😉
Very well fitted tractor you guys got there! I look forward to seeing her hard at work this spring
Haytalk much? lol I'm Dan_GA on there.
Hi Dan! I haven't been on nearly as much as I use to. Simply been too busy. Good folks on there! See ya around
I am from south east of St. Louis and drove down to see Cabe an bought a 1840 inline baler mostly from watching your videos I looked at your 1837 first then bought the 1840 and like you said he can sell equipment before I left I also purchased a bale accumulated as well. Wow I really really like this tractor! I went for a New Holland T4 but damn after seeing this, I'm starting to feel like I made a mistake! It definitely has more inside storage than mine and has a far more advanced dash!
They seem to be pretty good I’ll do a update this summer
Hot Hippo BUYER’S REMORSE!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣. I was just actually looking at this model tractor a couple of hours ago. It’s a strong consideration for me.
We just bought the 4610m series almost went with that on need another tractor for our hay operation may do 5710 on that one good luck with your new tractor
If you don't mind me asking, what was your reason for getting the 4600 instead of the 4700?
nice tractor hope it works out good they are way over the 4600s
Hi nice video good work
I'm really like mine going to be my main work tractor for the ranch I've got 16 hrs on it seems to have plenty of power.

How much Def will it use?
I wish we had some new toys!
I've been waiting on this video!
This is the tractor I will be getting first thing this spring
Farmman2004 I wish I didn’t an had my old one but we had no choice paying for it ain’t no fun
Ever thought of using set of forks which are like pallet forks(two tines at either side on the lower frame of your forks frame)
We have the same problem we have a 46 and were looking at a 47 but we don't know what price to sell or trade our 46 for

AgriSpec so far it’s real smooth sounds like something isn’t right on that one
I test drove a 4710 it shifted perfectly very smooth. I used the electronic clutch release button shifted on the go, I liked it. I was amazed of the shifting so easily to hit the gears in high range absolutely no noise.
Nice
Hope Daggerwin sees this video!!!
That is nice. They are heavy duty.
Georgia Swampman he’s got one up their with your name on it lol 😉
Did they get the blower fan fixed in those tractors yet?
DLH Farms yea it got up to 80 the other day an I couldn’t leave it on long it was so cold they did a recall on those an fixed the vent tubing an put a better fan motor in the tubing wasn’t sealed good an was allowing part of the cold air to blow in the top instead of the cab
Bagwell Farms. Good deal that was the worst thing about the one I reviewed. Keep us updated on how well you like it.
What do you know or think about the massy 2606h?
Thank you for the information!!! I'm about to buy 3 of them. How do you think this tractor would handle the TM 1200 Vermeer cutter and a 604N baler?
tks8085 it would pull them probably but with that size mower an baler if it would be your main tractor I’d probably recommend a mid range tractor like the 5700 series or 6700 series I’m a firm believer in more rather than less I’d recommend a 5712 an maybe buy a couple 47s to help with the work load
Nice tractor, does Massey still build their own tractors or someone else?
Robert Lamb thank you no they build their own
i have been looking at these tractors for about a month now. the only thing that i don't like about it. It says right on it made in china ???? not sure what to think about that ??
There building them in South America now there supposed to start building them here in the USA 🇺🇸 soon but honestly as much as I don’t care for it being built in China so far it seems to be well built 🤷♂️
looking very seriously at the 4710 deluxe cab etc - additionally my name is actually Massey so seems appropriate!?
Make sure it’s not one built in china
I have a new 4710 and can't figure how the lift works can you explain
? Rear lift?
Do you like the air ride seat? Do you regret not getting the ViseoRoof?
Oh yea I wouldn’t buy another tractor without air ride! As for the viseo yes an no we’ve never had one with it so it’s hard to say If id like it better but had we known it wasn’t much more for it we’d like to have gotten it an tried it
How does it telescope? 13:19 I was looking at one and couldn’t figure out how to telescope it in and out. In all honesty, I didn’t want to break something that wasn’t mine, lol.
With the loader joystick 🕹 left is tilt up right is tilt down
It's been just over a year with the 4710, How do you like it?
And have you had any problems with it?
Thanks Bud👍
So far we really like it an no issues!
@@BagwellFarms
Good to here, been looking at them👍
Would u look at a 5700 global or something in that horsepower range
haggard farms yea the 5700 an 6700 are nice tractors for me I’d look at a 5700 with dyna 4 or a 6713 I really like the 6700 global series
Do you know what kind of adapter plug you need to hook a radio up
No I don’t bud
I'm curious does your AC make any noise when the compressor clutch get activated or is it quiet.
Haven't noticed anything different than all our other tractors it cools good thow
Anthony Chavez. Glad to hear your likeing yours I really like mine so far. Got 35 hours on it now.
It's a nice tractor but I don't like de clutch button. If it's like the 5710 I hit it all the time.
Thomas Wilson what do you mean with your leg or hand?
Bagwell Farms it's my knee that hits it all on how I like to set in the tractor
Thomas Wilson oh ok idk if it’s any different but it’s far enough over an back that my leg hasn’t hit it maybe they changed them
Bagwell Farms I don't use that tractor enough to worry about it.
What is the hp at the pto?
I think it’s 88hp
Its a quicky loeder out of uk/eu made by( alo loaders)
valleyboy yea my 5400 has a Quicky q40 their good loaders
Ålö / Quicke are from Sweden not the UK...
They do have a plant in the US so the loader might've been made there rather than in the main Swedish factory.
What's the price on that pup?
Joshua Deppen mid 50s
whe got ah 3 oh those 5608 but allso 3cicillinders put those dont pul for shit
What hp
dirt bike rider a it’s 100hp an 88hp at the pto
With most new Massey's ignore the first 2 digits and add a zero to the end. 4710 converts to xx100 engine horse power.
AWD3264 thanks for telling me there nice tractor just don’t have a dealer around us
no perkins in her, and the front of the tractor is so weak, if you had a straight on crash half the tractor would be gone
