I've never heard the term toxic positivity.V interesting.Yes I was just telling myself the other day; it's OK to feel bad and blue at times.I do feel this pressure being a witch to be wise and gratefull all the time.Its exhausting.I thanked my toothbrush and thought oh take a day off!Hope you good😊
Living authentically also means that, once you have the courage to live the way you know is right, the people in your life who wish they could do the same will gravitate toward you, and you become their affirmation that they can live authentically, too.
I almost said I don't know how I missed this... but I do. My sister and I have been caring for my mom in all aspects with dementia for the last few years, she passed at the end of the year. I am finding myself angry and distracted. Not meditating or engaging magically, not writing or even cooking.... thanks for the reminder...it is just life, sometimes it is HARD but joy is deeper and I need to keep that in mind. I am blessed and grateful for so much!
That's the hardest part. Remembering to be fully present in the moment during those automatic tasks. Thanks for another good video!

I have already taken on my hard this year. After suffering for a year and a half and missing out on many things I love, I had a total replacement of my knee. I’m in week two of healing and learning to deal with the short term pain because when I’m healed, I can again fully embrace all the things I love to do.
For encouragement I watch you and listen to your wise thoughts. Thank you. I feel you are on this journey with me.
When we accept things as they are and learn that it’s within our control to change the situations, we are truly empowered to make powerful change happen!

Thank you for your beautiful post, my husband and I struggled last year, he has CPTSD, and has had no help bar me to cope,(he's an army veteran) and I watched many of your posts, we are in a better place now, and this post has given me ideas for moving ahead ,again thank you😊

Every year I rewatch CGPGrey's video on themes and pick a theme for myself for the year. This year I picked restoration and I am striping back a lot of stuff to give myself time and space to heal and relearn haw to have healthy relationships & boundaries. I've been seeing people posting a lot of stuff about productivity and doing more. But it is just not in line with what I want for this year. It's always nice to see someone talking about not overdoing it. You are right, we have to say no to some things in order to do the things we want and it is way better if that is an active choice. I want to do more art & writing this year and that means that I am cutting out some other things that were taking up a lot of time and energy.
Your videos often have a very relaxing energy to them and I just want to tell you how much I appreciate that. One of the things I have been working on as a boundary is being very mindful of what I watch for breakfast and at the start of my day and your channel is one of the ones I have put in my morning selection.
Elaborating on being with your kids- don’t just be there with them thinking it’s a task or a duty; instead, try to actually get on their level- let your own imagination and inner child come out and actually immerse yourself into their play. Pretend with them and allow yourself to become part of their magical world, and while you are doing so, leave behind the “adult” thoughts in your head that are telling you that you look silly. Truly set those thoughts aside, and allow yourself to become an active part of your children’s playtime. Become a child again for that relatively small amount of time with them.
That will be something your kids will remember fondly, and will be a great memory for all (along with the added benefit of you getting to play for part of your day, and feel the simple joys of childhood for a few moments- especially if your own childhood wasn’t very pleasant).

I've always found that it's through the hard times that I have the most growth mentally and spiritually. It may not be what I want to have happen in my life but the lessons I learn are what I need to become the person I want to be. I've learned to embrace the difficult times and learn from them. At the time I'm going through them I may not know that in the future my experiences may help or give help and knowledge to others going through the same or similar situations. For the past number of years I haven't had family support, but I've been blessed with a found family which have been there through the dark times. I count you as one of those safe spaces even though I'm a "muggle". I thank you for your time and wise words and of course the constant encouragement.
