+Victor Hugo Bertacchini I haven't no i've checked out some of his previous songs but I just never get on with the vocal style that was used in the band.. I have the same issue with DreamTheatre the singing style puts me off for the most part, its not gritty enough and far to clean for my tastes.. But thats just me. I will be going though his other stuff though and i'll start with Temple of Shadows. I knew he would be a good fit though when he was announced as the guitarist instantly looked like he fit right in.. And I really liked seeing him and Dave working together in the studio.. I know Dave's been waiting for a while to have a competent writer in the band other than himself and David.

One thing I've learnt with Dave is people give him shit for not having the greatest vocals BUT he's such a mastermind he created songs that compliment his voice so well it sounds amazing. Maybe not in all the albums but it stands out in RIP, Countdown and some of the tracks in Dystopia. This song is a textbook example of how he works his vocals into the guitar work.
I’ve grown to love Megadeth with Dave’s vocals. It wouldn’t be the same without him.

I always compare this to Hangar 18. It's got sort of a narrative with solo interludes and then a mood change with a bunch of soloing til it ends, both are really similar in that sense.
Everyone talked about how well the guitar parts and Dave were, but the drums also deserved praise.
As a drummer myself i can confirm that the last 2 mins of the Song are pure hell even for me that i play from 7 years

+Anthony Avila This doesn't sounds like any of those songs but that it fits with such top works from the band is a credit to the bands present quality output. The last 2 minutes doesn't sound anything like the songs you've listed either. It has high pitched riffs compared to the crunchier sound of the other 2 songs its not just another one again.. Its clear bold creative and has some of the sharpest lyrics wise they have put out for years that can also be said of the other songs and its an overlaying theme on the album.
+Ely Gallego Sales wise yes it does.. Completely this is excellent work and the Metal community should be rewarding returns to form with modern evolution and influences with increased sales support.. Metal is now one of the highest sales generating genres in the music industry for actual album releases.. To get number 1-3 on the charts you need to sell 50k of more... Thats nothing.. Quite a few artists in Metal can pull that kind of first week figure.. Megadeth is one of those acts.. They are going to finally get a number 1 record its been a long time coming but its well deserved. This is the record that will define modern Megadeth from the last 15 years and give a sign of the future as well. Everything I've heard points to a fantastic album with a very high quality in writing and recording.. It also helps that I consider this to be the best line-up since Dave,David,Marty,Nick had their run together.. I am so happy that this band is moving forward still and isn't trying to get plays back who don't have the heart in it to make Megadeth music.

yes there was some good...but there was such a huge difference in songwriting and sound and leads on master and onward....they never recaptured the raw insanity of Kill em all. i think it was Mustaine's influence.
Classy early 1990s Megadeth is BACK! this album is fantastic. i love the early 1990`s albums and Megadeath finally went back to that sound.

Let's first review:
Fatal illusion was a decent first single but it was a song that was met to grow and will make more since once the album is released and we can see the flow within the album.
Threat is Real- reminded me of Rust in peace (which is always good) and should have been the single that was released 1st as is was a better crafted song.
DYSTOPIA- the title cut reminds me a lot of hanger 18- especially in tempo and melody. Drum pattern is kind of similar though a lot different. It's not recycled into dystopia but is called back. Great as a set opener

Dystopia is their best album since Youthanasia imo and it keeps growing on me over time. I’m really glad Kiko joined the band. His style blends perfectly with Dave’s music.

This song is a really good song! And guitar-wise, I think Kiko's playing is the most exciting Megadeth has seen since Marty.
I'm not the biggest fan of thrash, but I'd be a fool not to like Megadeth, they're such amazing composers! That riff at the end is absolutely crazy I'd bang my head to it anytime!

Metallica Master Of Puppets Umm what? Death Magnetic was NOT a good album. It's ok at it's best (My Apocalypse) and sub par at it's worst (80% of it). Why would you create songs that are 8 minutes long and boring as fuck? There was no real lyrical content on the album. Just tons of cliché choruses after another.
My Apocalyse atleast had the riffing in it. And that instrumental on the album was the worst... Can't even remember the name of the song... Hetfields solo was pretty memorable, but 8 minutes of an instrumental that begged for lyrics the whole duration. Are they high or mad? And the choked up guitarsound... They need to rethink their whole thing for the new album. The high shrieking guitarsound is what makes people tick. Not the choked up crap they had going for them.
I'll be the first one to admit that they did good if the new album is raw and vicious, like it's supposed to be. I just feel that they can't do it.
Even creating an album every decade seems to be too much for them. Think about it.. Trujillo has been in the band since 2003 and he's played on ONE studio album. 13 years and 1 album to show for it... Just to put it in perspective. Jason was in the band for 14 years.

Im on my dads account and im 13. I love and idolize Megadeth. I saw them last year, at the fair. And this year, I get to see and meet them. Im so excited. Dave Mustaine is my all time idol. You guys are saying, that this is the best Megadeth. I think any band member that left, put apart of themselves into Megadeth. I think, any Megadeth is the best. I love all of their songs. I've been listening to Megadeth, since I was born. I grew up, a rocker baby. So, I have hard core thoughts about music. I think any Megadeth, is Megadeth.
Awesome to hear that youngsters are into hardcore rock :) Ive been loving rock too since a young age and I will love it to death! Megadeth and Metallica are the top tier metal bands out there according to me.
I just saw Megadeth live for the first time ever, at Knotfest in Iowa. This was one of the best songs of the set, and I'd only heard it once or twice before the show. Kiko is amazing. Marty is one of my favorite metal guitarists ever, but Kiko is on the same level.

Dave and Kiko are great. And tired of the people saying Dave can't sing... I cannot imagine this music without Dave's vocals.
He's different, Yes. Can he sing metal? YES! This is the best since Rust in Peace and Kiko surpasses Marty.
