Helicopter Pilot KFOR / Kosovo | Swiss Air Force | Become A Military Pilot

Once a year, every Swiss Air Force helicopter pilot is deployed to the Kosovo where he or she flies for the Kosovo Force (KFOR). This force is led by NATO, to uphold safety and stability in the region.
In a small team, pilots together with ground crew, execute a variety of missions such as transports of military personnel, different cargo or military VIP's. If necessary, they are also capable of firefighting from the air. An average deployment lasts around 3 weeks.
