Problem fixed mate,I had on the right top of the strut the rubber washer was defect i changed it and now the leak is gone thnx for ur advice it helped a lot 💪🏻
For future projects the lines thin down as they go so if you would have taken off the end caps remove the pressure ring that holds the cap slid the cap off and then put the line without cutting it you wouldn't have had a problem
great video! I wish there were more diy on the e550. Like change oil. I'm not even sure where my oil plug is on my 2010 e550 4matic. Or where to get new air intake hoses. (hard to find) In your video you didn't indicate where air suspension block value is located.
whats the update? on my e550 w212 lowers a half inch on the passenger side than the driver when the car sits for a few hours it hasn’t dropped any advice?
How did you know the lines were leaking? My front end just dropped and I’m at square one. Front right boot is torn but I hear the compressor kick on when I open the doors or start the car.
You can use a spray a bottle with soap and water. You should see bubbles where it’s leaking from with the vehicle running. Which ever side dr or pass front or back has the bad shock or bag is going to go down faster than the other. My whole back was dropping and the pumping keep kicking on trying to maintain its height.
@@MRRANDOM1 yes , mine is 550 as well with AMG sport package, mine just started lower on 1 side every once in awhile, sometimes it's passenger, sometimes driver, thank you for the video, very helpful
Great Video, well put together.. I have a E250 estate which drops at the rear, intermittently.. might go for a couple months without dropping then it starts dropping again, I am going to test it with soap but will look to get a block to replace the one i have.. One Question did you jack the car up buy the sills (so that the wheels drop) or did you jack the rear axle?
After I replaced the strut, I’m getting a “vehicle rising please wait” on the dash. I wait and nothing happens and the car doesn’t rise but i can clear it by pressing ok. It doesn’t come back on unless I turn off the car.. I replaced all the fuses/relays and hear the compressor reservoir kick on. Any ideas?
I have a question, I changed my control valve block but it didn’t solve my problem. My question is do you think that it’s my air springs 100% because it’s on my rear that drops?
@@MRRANDOM1 I think that I may have to. I already changed the block that your video shows but the car still dropped. I rechecked the lines and tried to pull them out by hand one by one they came out pretty easy so I did it all over again and they are secured now so we’ll see what happens.
Hey bro my car has been saying malfunction and dropping while i drive, (never has done that, only used yo drop overnight in sport mode but i guess it’s so tired it’s done) this will fix it right? thanks. will update you!
I had a e63 do that, drop while driving it happened to be a bad shock. It’s normally which corner drops first. The rear of mines was dropping overnight. You have to cut the lines clean and straight edge to install them in the new block valve or shock, cut it close to the fitting so you won’t loose too much line.
@@MRRANDOM1 sheesh a shock? i hope not. do you have an idea how i can tell which one it is? the car will go back up no problem if i turn it off and on. also it’ll stay up if left in comfort mode but if left in sport the back will go down: the front never goes down
E550 still hasn’t went down 🔥🔥🔥 6-5-21
how about now😂
Mines will not rise back up any suggestions

Yes
Broooooo that’s wild I needed this I have a 2010 black an I have purchased one strut but I will definitely have the Block valve checked !

Hey bro
I have the same Issue car only from front drop overnight,do u think changing the valve will help to fix the issue?or I have somewhere a leak ?
It may fox it, or you may have leaking front air bags. I would start with the manifold block. Try spraying soap and water with the system aired up
Problem fixed mate,I had on the right top of the strut the rubber washer was defect i changed it and now the leak is gone thnx for ur advice it helped a lot 💪🏻

Everything worked fine for me. Thanks for sharing
Yeah cutting the lines isn't the right move.
Did you do a soap bubble test on the block to see the leaks?
Yes

How did you diagnosis the valve block as being the failed part
Process of elimination, I heard it leaking air after parked along with changing both rear air bags

Sounds like you have a leaking air shock

Maybe the air bags

Make sure you hear your air pump coming on or the line to the strut is inserted inside the connector enough
@@MRRANDOM1 I didn’t hear the compressor so just replaced it with one from Amazon. Put the new one on and the car lifted up. So far so good
Nice clear video.

Before you changed it did your car drop while driving
Not on this car put I’ve had on go out before while driving
What if one side is dropping left driver side drops passenger stays up never done the bags any recommendations?
Sounds like a bad airbag I would start with replacing that first. Very simple

So are people in the comments not having issues in Comfort mode? Seems Sport mode is causing issues.
