Salut Serge!!! You are quickly learning about the personality of your saw mill!!! With a little thought and an understanding of what is going on, you have figured out a lot of your issues and you're getting your mill well tuned. Thanks for the explanations and the tips of saw milling!!! A bientot!!!
Hey there Serge! I guess you've been pretty busy cutting planks. I'd definitely make a concrete slab which should give you a stable base for your sawmill. Since you get so much snow up there, you may still have some minor issues with frost heaves. Dig down 18 inches, fill with rock and tamp it down nicely then pour your slab and it should render a really nice slab that will not be effected much by the changing cold temperatures. Hope you do build a nice enclosure for your sawmill to keep your critical moving sawmill parts from rusting and seizing-up. I look forward to see you cut some lumber and then construct a structure from your cut lumber. Hope your family is doing well. The last I remember, you constructed a ramp porch for your Mom to access the house. Be well my friend. 👍🏽🙂
I Don.I bin busy for sure . I have a full time job at around 40 to 50 hour a week plus milling wood , 24 hour a day is not enough. Hope to have time to build this summer.
Looking at your mill makes me feel realy impatients to start working on my own. I did not have time to do anything with it get this year. I am hoping to start sawing again in a feW weeks .
100 hours already! You have been working that mill steady. Glad you found a easy way to fix the up and down movement. With the ice melting, are you goin to relevel it? Have a good one Mr. TB! See ya!
