- Taking a look at the official BMW footage of the production plant Dingolfing in Germany where the new BMW iX 2022 is being made.
In this video you can see the whole process: Production front end, rear end, floor assembly, inline measuring floor assembly, measuring complete body, body frame and attachments, bonding and joining CFRP side frames, adhesive application, Skyroof shoring, Swivel mounting, Battery installation (HVS, high-voltage storage), Preparation of drive axle for assembly in the vehicle with e-motor of the fifth generation, Installation of drive axle with HEAT, Power unit installation, Door installation, Front end mounting, Rear bumper attachment, Wheel mounting, Installation cockpit module, Belt mix (several models on one belt), Filling belt, First start, Test drive on the roller test bench, Filling belt, Test bench driver assistance systems, Vehicle finish.
Production at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing using purely green power, monitored raw materials extraction, high proportion of natural and recycled materials.
The BMW iX will be produced at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing. Both the vehicle itself and the battery cells will be manufactured using green power across the board. The BMW Group procures the cobalt and lithium required for the high-voltage batteries from controlled sources in Australia and Morocco and delivers it to the battery cell manufacturers. The design principle for the electric motors allows the use of rare earth metals to be avoided in the drive system rotors. Added to which, the company sources aluminium produced using power from solar energy plants.
A high proportion of secondary aluminium and reused plastic also contribute to the resource-efficient production of the BMW iX. Its interior uses FSC-certified wood, leather tanned with olive leaf extracts and other natural materials. Recycled fishing nets are among the raw materials used for the floor coverings and mats.

My husband and I pre-ordered two BMW 2022 iX xDrive 50's, for delivery in Summer 2022. This will be my third BMW. I have had a 2012 X5 and now drive a 2020 X5. I love these vehicles and look forward to joining BMW's new era of EV vehicles.

Tengo una pregunta, en mi iX solo me llego la silla multifuncional del conductor, la del pasajero delantero llego no multifincional, es posible intercambiar las sillas? La razón es porque uso más la silla del pasajero frontal que la del conductor.

....from my point of view, I will say two things that I found interesting watching this video....the first is....have you ever thought if we could go back in a time machine to the 50s or 60s and show this video for people and to say that this is how a car will be made in a few decades.....they would think it is a fiction film (the video itself would be reason to think this because it did not have this image quality at the time) ....the second thing is....what's going on with BMW? this generation of your vehicles looks like they were designed by Gray ETs....I didn't like it.
No need to get back to 50s or 60s. Cars have made a design revolution within the last 20 years as well. Look at BMW cars issued in late 90s and 00s. Honestly, I adore the modern design direction and think they chose the right path after all. However, the grill protrudes of this model seem contradictory (look like Chinese one :) but the head and tail lights are gorgeous.
@@eugenebazhan9917 ...the case of the 50s or 60s that I mentioned were just examples because compared to how cars were made at that time, this production line today would be a science fiction because everything is practically automated...and this only had a vacancy idea in those times when advertisements said that in the future cars would float...so these images would be amazing for people at that time....like in the Jetsons cartoon....about the taillights and headlights of the new BMW i I agree that they are beautiful...but for me...with this grid designed by aliens grays, it ended up with the rest of the car's design....for me...sometimes a small detail can end up with a whole work, including how example, this was partly what harmed the sales of the 1958 Ford Edsel onwards.... his grille, which for me was beautiful... for the people of that time it wasn't... a personal matter... I'm like that also...but each person has a personal vision......I think your observation is valid.
