Titanfall 1 vs Titanfall 2 Strafe Eject Comparison

- Wanted to have a side by side comparison. Pretty clear how hard they nerfed the air strafing in the 2 game when the non stim eject in Titanfall 1 out does the Stim Eject in Titanfall 2. FeelsBadMan

yeah its kinda sad to see that go but it was a small sacrifice for about 50 times more movement tech in the second game
There both made from sorce engine AKA m8dified modified quake engine
But another reason you didn't need the boost was majority of maps were tinier in the 2nd
That's why I run the filth that is nuke eject sometimes. To get a higher eject height to make up for that.
Tf1 much better stimulation ejecting then TF2 that's why I went back to it
Thats why it was god tier diamond rank as well and just bc you had a smart pistol didnt mean you could get kills. It's the best secondary for grunts and marking pilots whilw moving quickly
Are you seriously comparing the strafe in tf1 to running into an object in tf2?
Lol
@@zimds To be fair, you could have retry it without bumping into that thing, and use that clip instead xDD
Perfect example. Sadly, it's just one of many reasons TF1 had a magical quality to it that the 2nd one lacks.
Dude thats unfair. Glad it's gone in titanfall 2.
@@paperclip6377 opinions are fair
@@BooYahRadley but it is objectively unfair. It clearly wasn't intended by the game devs.
sry, meant that the link is to that specific comment but of course the whole AMA is there if you want to read. He was always a cool dev with us , very active and such. @@paperclip6377
on 2nd read, I fully realize that I misread your comment soooo bad. You have my personal apology, @@paperclip6377 RUclips readers - I was wrong, he was talking specifically about Strafe Ejecting, not strafe hopping. Man, I am a MORON. Sorry my friend, I usually try to make sure to stay on point in discussions because YT can be so weird. I got defensive about strafe hopping just because there were people that argued against it.
The Nuke Eject flag caps in comp were banned after a bit. It was cheap as hell. I will say that the Nuke Eject .. as long as you didn't have the flag... was fun but weird.
Sorry for the book but wanted to make a public apology to you for misreading. Cheers, sincerely.
This is depressing.
what about bunnyhop? does on ttf1 are faster than on ttf2?
HAFIX100 Roughly the same. However, Titanfall 2 has a soft limit on how many you can do in a row. So each successive bunny hop becomes worse than the last causing you to loose speed unless you reset it with a wallhop/wallkick.
Titanfall 1 has a better strafe effect and u can get way faster with no stim
More movility, full first person for a real inmersion, full customization of your titan build... Titanfall 1 was (and is) way better in almost every aspect of the game core mechanics
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTT
more mobility is just not true, it was faster in some aspects, but not better, you all titanfall 1 fans are so boring, titanfall 2 is the one known to the whole industry, most people doesn't even realize that titanfall 2 existing means there is a titanfall 1
No one do that in a all out chaos multiplayer
i was right about the movement being faster in the first game
Its oinly faster if you do very specific things. Movement can be way faster in T2. Just moving around has so much speed boost tech. Then you have grapple cross map swings and stim.
0:11 you didn't double jump for no stim eject strafe in titanfall 2
Really?! I didn't?! Strange.
Name of the song?
Doktor Siekiera Its one i just started writing so it doesn't have a name yet :/
Para mí el mejor es el Titanfall 1 y apuesto que le aria competencia al Titanfall 2
strafing is better on TTF1.. but the game is dead on pc T_T
Thanks for making this!
max well Hey, no problem. Glad I could help. :)
only thing titanfall 1 did better is immersiveness and maps
"maps" is a great understatement. Maps are the third wheel that completes Titanfall's game design and philosophy - alongside the Pilot and Titan gameplay. A big reason why the second game is inferior is because, barring one exception, the maps in r2 are poorly designed, open environments, with hardly any room for dynamic movement. It's hard to explain without going on a massive tangent, but each elevated floor, each wallrun-able wall, each divot and depression in the terrain - all were hand crafted and fine tuned to allow a player to string together their own path to an objective or location without relying on ones the map designers cemented into the environment. They were designed for a perfect movement system; with both Pilot and Titan in mind.
In Titanfall 2, there are only routes - pre-made, pre-designated locations laid out by the map designers for use, with no deviation in mind. While there would be walls and other props to jump over, wallrun on, or hide behind in the first game, they were supplemented by rocks and miscellaneous terrain pieces that have weird collision hitboxes, in the sequel - causing you to lose all your speed & momentum should you go a route the map designers either didn't intend for, or didn't want to include.
This is all mostly due to Respawn not listening to their QA testers during the later development stages. Why exactly they refused to listen to the people's whose very jobs it was, was to make sure the maps and gameplay _worked,_ I don't know. But it crippled the game on launch and was one of the main reasons the game flunked in sales. It failed to keep the good gameplay and Titan-Pilot-Map synergy fans of the first game were used to.
There's a good reason all the well-liked maps in 2 are just ports from the first game.
Thats why ill never love titanfall 2.
Lol imagine being as dumb as you
Unless this is a joke oh wait it probably is
not only is it harder to strafe eject, respawn, in all their great multiplayer balance wisdom, made many guns much easier to score goosers with than the original. tf2 was the death of the series for me, and now that ea has bought out respawn entirely i really dont expect to see another classic like tf1 coming out of that studio.
Therealgands Feel the same. At this point all I'm hoping for is somewhere between the two games. Don't expect a game any where near the level of the first.
@@zimds lol
you are all so funny, titanfall 2 is just the better game and the one that will be remembered, tf1 did some things better, but titanfall 2 is one superior, the only one that don't accepted is the titanfall 1fanboys that are mad cause they are not the only good players in titanfall 2
Welcome to the comments section. We have:
People calling good game bad because it's missing a movement technique.
"It wasn't nerfed"
"You're biased" people.
Nuke Eject Guy.
it's not necessarily that a obscure strat was nerfed since it hinges on the fact strafe lurching just doesn't exist in titanfall 1 which heavily influences movement in the second game
@@charles.personal you're right.
Maybe it'll be better in Titanfall 3
Michael Trujillo We can hope, right?
Yeman
i think it makes it more fair... doesnt matter if its half life or titanfall 1... getting killed by a guy moving 9000 mph is annoying a fuck... thats why im much better at titanfall 2... i run around in titanfall 1 and im dead before a blur goes by my screen.... i used to ban people for doing that shit with longjump and tau cannon jumping bullshit back in the half life days
This looks like a good thing though.
Nahhhhhhh
@@zimds Yehhhhhhh
@@Jak4896 nahhhhhhh
Man wtf are these dudes yapping about?!
they think titanfall 1 was better, but literaly nobody except the tf1 fanboys think that, I'm sure it hurts them to see that titanfall 2 is loved by the most people and the one that will be remembered while tf1 will be remembered as the pre alpha of titanfall 2
@@ender_z4nd3r83😂 Good take.
Sooo tf1 was broken
