People from California make everything expensive, my home town of lewiston is a mess. Don't see why life long residents should have to pay for their bad voting choices

I live in north Idaho and I'm glad there is no public transportation. All that does is invite drifters and criminals. Everyone who lives here has to work for it.
I live in the UK and the main way to get anywhere is by public transport. I don't drive in the UK so I'm glad it exists but I'm not a criminal or a drifter
Being born and raised in Lewiston, I can safely say that the mill provides a wonderful scent of money. Other than that, yeah, there's not much to say really.
I don’t see how you could possibly have a video on top places to live in Idaho without mentioning Coeur d’Alene, or Sandpoint! Not diminishing any of the other places mentioned, but I don’t see how you can have a top 20 without those being included.
It is quite frustrating, and yet somewhat amusing, to listen to this narrator speak about cities in Idaho, a subject of which he obviously knows little.
Great video and info. We are considering a move to Idaho ourselves. We love the beautiful natural aspects and the quaint conservative nature. I've been a Realtor in the DFW market for over 23 yrs. Might need to connect with you if we indeed do head northwest. Thanks foe the info.
Sorry, Idaho was part of Washington Territory before being created in 1863 by Abraham Lincoln. That's why there is a statue of him in from of the capitol building.
Think Salmon Idaho should have been very high on this list....Have not been to all but been to many of the places on this list, only a few compare to Salmon....
So much of the info on this video is out of date. The cost of living has skyrocketed. Housing is out of reach for many people unless you've got a lot of cash.
Keep in mind that anywhere people flock to. Will surge housing. The silicon valley in the 70s boomed bc of electronics. Jobs galore. Those same companies are now in Texas as the fastest relocation from Californians are doing now. Techies are in tx these days.
Idaho was part of the Oregon territory, not Colorado. I know several of the towns you mentioned. I think you must have "thrown darts" at the map of Idaho.
Idaho has a VERY large population of Latter Day Saints. Rexburg, Idaho is home to Brigham Young University, Idaho which boasts an enrollment of more than 44,000 students, so the population is considerably high than stated by the narrator of this bogus, know nothing video.
Yeah, Californians are moving to Idaho and bringing their big fat checkbooks with them. 500k to 1.5 million cash for a house is no problem for the big Cali money. Idahoans love the money but hate the Wokeness Californians are bringing with them.
I think they already created Cali 2.0 and 3.0 with Oregon and Washington. Oregon is not what it used to be. I did not vote blue but most of Portland and Eugene sure did. Kind of a weird place to be now.
Also do people realise there is more people from other states other than California moving to idaho? Another thing is your saying Californians but most people moving to idaho from California arent real Californians.....please get educated and stop the hate.
😂😂😂 Everyone in my family that moved here from CA were born and raised there. I probably lived there longer than you've been alive, and I still own LA real estate..... 6 to 1 Californians who have moved here are conservative, and got sick of the California liberal bulshit that didn't exist when I grew up there
Please don't include those of us conservatives that live in Northern California. We are fed up with the liberal politicians and soft on crime attitudes that make us want to flee this state! Highest fuel prices in the nation, along with California's high taxes and fees are forcing us to leave!
These all inclusive comments about Californians are kind of getting old. We aren’t all like the liberal idiots that live and run California! We move here because we love the lifestyle that is up here. Some of us actually grew up in Midwestern states and that’s what we’re looking for when we look at Idaho. We don’t come up here to change your way of life! We have gone through what you think you’re going through now. People coming from the bay area, causing our valley homes to triple and even quadruple in price to where we couldn’t afford homes in areas that we grew up in. So don’t get me wrong. I understand where you’re coming from, it’s just we’re not all crazy liberal idiots. On the final note, most of the articles and videos that I see and read state that a majority of the Californians that are moving near our conservative so if you look at your percentage of conservatives, it’s actually going up percentage wise.
Boise I would give a thumbs down it is the worst place to live it's very expensive the taxes are very high people are very rude people drive like morons and home prices are in the millions of dollars. Boise, Idaho is by far the worst city to call home. I would pick Grangeville, Lewiston, Moscow, Idaho over Boise, Idaho Boise should have not made the list.
As and Africa American, I've travel Idaho, on the 4th of July I found myself in Bosie they where having a parade. I found it lacked diversity. I was the only African American there. Downtown was nice the Mall and parks all where clean and walkable. Restaurants I found where fine, but service was slow. It has a African American Museum, a prison and the highway 84 was easy to navigate. I also travel up to Maccall, Idaho. Again it lacked diversity. Which makes one feel that they are a fly on the wall. Most people you come across knows your visiting. you don't feel pressure of indifference, but most know your need to eat, rest, and experience the time there. Most complain that outsiders make it expensive. But if change doesn't happen growth isn't possible. The values of homes, Job growth all contributes to opportunity. Most cities that experience growth benefit from the tax dollars that help present business and services like transportation which most locals done see as a benefit. But they blame outsiders with bringing unwanted change, but enjoy you to come spend and leave. Never taking in account of the many things they bring. Like Ideas, Tax dollars, and a blend of culture. Sad the fear of change points to the one's who feel left behind, because they don't envision moving forward because they are afraid it points to the fact they aren't ready for change and want things to stay the same. So sad. It's not just Idaho, it's most cities. look at when immigrants come the complain is they will change our way of life take jobs, crime and the list goes on. But turn the coin over and face your fears. 5/17/24
I love Idaho! Those who grew up in Idaho are down to earth, hardworking and friendly. And no, I’m not from Idaho I’ve just spent quality time there for over 60 years,
So happy you didn’t mention my two favorite towns in Idaho. I don’t want them ruined.
I can guess what they are. Couldn't agree more.

Id love one
It's colder in Elk City that towns 60 miles west.
Elk city is the middle of nowhere for sure.

He can't even pronounce them!
Just wondering why Twin Falls was not mentioned?
Because they don't want outsiders 😁😁😉

He’s only reading a scrip.
@@sharonmehaffey5539 yes, obviously! It has long been my opinion people should not speak of that which they know little of, if anything!
