This might be a daft question but mine has come to the end of its life and will need replaced. However, is there an off switch or anyway to stop it chirping every minute? Otherwise it will be in the bin chirping away...
Did you find out a way?
You can push and hold in the button for a few seconds, but this will only silence it for 24hrs
Funny how we all seem to have this program at the same time. Mine doesn't shut up. It's end of life... Tried everything. Was thinking of just destroying it

If you slide the back cover off sideways, by inserting a small screwdriver in the hole on the side, it stops beeping 👍

How do I install this?
The only way I could stop mine beeping and causing my dog stress was to take it to the recycling centre. Put it in my garden overnight and my dog could still hear it. Surely you can turn them off?
Smash it with a hammer.
Surely it means you had dangerous levels of CO?
What is four chirps, what should I do?
Every other day, sometimes twice a day (often at night).
See user Manual. The new version has different Number of chirps wrt the One in the video. It should be wireless module fault. Remove the module.
Hey! I have a problem with the xc70 alarm! The green light is flashing normally as no problem was detected, but it is making the beep sound once per minute! Anyone had anything to do with this situation? Thank you
What you do is check if there is a fault. If theres not then you must get it replaced or look inside of it. (sorry for the late reply)
Low CO level. Please check Low CO warning section in the manual

Remove the back cover, to turn it off
Mine was amber and chirped once.
So it was end of life😌😌
How do I check if it’s working?
Mine starts to alarm in the open air. So how do I shut it up? It's flashing red rigt now, and gives 4 chirping sound every 5 sec. The button does nothing.

So you can’t change the battery you just have to replace the alarm?
No you'll need to replace the alarm when the battery has reached. it's end on life.
Damn. I bought it second hand 1.5 years ago, normally they last 7-10 years but I suppose maybe it was already old by then.

Mine makes 2 chirps every 60 second + red blink. No such thing in the user manual, or on this video.
You had an alarm while out of home. Please check section Alarm Memory in the User Manual
Mine is flashing green every minute next to the word "Power", but also chirping once a minute a single time, like at 1:52. Great.
Low co level. Ventilate and check appliances.

Doesn't explain how to test
To test you simply press the button on the front of the alarm. I hope this helps.

Hi Kee. The alarm is only replaced when the sensor reaches the end of its life after 7 or 10 years depending on which alarm it is.

Yes.. because recycling a plastic box is worse than SAVING YOUR LIFE isn’t it!
