A more advanced version of this will be dropping later in the week!! But for those looking to dip your toes into Motion Graphics in Davinci Resolve, well then here you go!
That Modern Dude I actually have a simpler/average joe version of this that I’m gonna create. Will absolutely use your video as reference and give you a tag 👍🏾
Amazing video mate, just tried it out then and I'm made up with the results. thank you so much man, i'm new to all of this and you make it so easy to follow along to.
Man, I really appreciate your help. I played a little with this tutorial and got an extremely satisfying result based on your direction. Thank you for this, you're doing a great service!
Thank you . Really great for many of us starting with Fusion . I hope more of these keep coming up. Fusion can be a little frightening and this very clear and easy to follow tutorials are a big help.
When we change the color black how do we make it transparent? I was trying so this and drop it in another video but it black. How can you create this so you can drop it in a video without the black in the back
Highlight the background node go to the inspector and change the alpha color to zero the problem you'll have is saving the transparency to useable video. The best option I have found is saving it as a title template in reslove to reuse over and over.
when I clicked on the transform fx it did not shrink down the image. wondering if I'm doing something wrong. it just brought up a green box around the image and I could not move that. any help is appreciated
Very informative video, exactly what i was looking for. However i want to safe this so i can reuse it again and again. By doing that, i seem to loose the used logo/picture. I saved is a macro, or as a settings file (or drfx using the latest Davinci Resolve), but no matter what i do, the used logo is not showing when i attempt to use saved fusion composition ? Do i need to specify something special when i add the logo in the composition ?
@@ThatModernDude Thanks for your reply, it was on a permanent location, but on the network, copied it locally to the PC now, unfortunately still the same issue, no image ?
This is a really great demonstration but I can't think as to why you didn't demonstrate how to do it on a clip. This is surely where you would want it? I'm now left really stumped as to how to get it onto my desired clip.
Hey, (love this video btw) I followed your other video to save this as a title template to use in my other projects, but the IG logo didn't come along. I simply did a save of the template to the Titles folder to be accessed from the Effects library. Should I have done this a different way?
Okay so i downloaded the logo but since it's not transparent, i couldn't change its size in the transform node...this time i typed transparent insta logo and downloaded one, but it was still the same, couldn't resize it in transform node. Did you create that transparent logo first and then added it?
Really helpful video but I am perplexed why you chose to have a background? The lower thirds is not able to be placed over any other media because the background will cover it?
I made an Instagram logo following your instructions, when I try to add it to a video, the whole screen is black with the logo. How do you make it transparent background to insert into video clip. AM I missing something?? Thanks.
@@ThatModernDude It was not too long exactly right for beginners. I started and stopped as needed. Success total! How do I save it as a reusable element?

Will you show us how to take what you created and add it to a whole new project with video footage please?
Already on the channel :)
Excellent and easy to follow. Thanks very much !! Great job !
Glad it helped!
thanks so much :):) one of the simplest and easy to follow video !!
so good mate!

Awesome video tutorial 👍! Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to try this out and see your next tutorial that builds on this. 😀
Glad it helped!!
That Modern Dude do you have a tutorial on how to have text go across the screen and behind a person or object? If yes, can you share the link please.
Great vid I finally now really understand how nodes work . Thank you worth a sub!!
How about like a wipe transition or fade?
when I clicked on the transform fx it did not shrink down the image. wondering if I'm doing something wrong. it just brought up a green box around the image and I could not move that. any help is appreciated
Excellent slowly explained everything
Glad it helped

Save the image in a permanent location on your computer then do the macro, I have found this to work
@@ThatModernDude Thanks for your reply, it was on a permanent location, but on the network, copied it locally to the PC now, unfortunately still the same issue, no image ?
@@ThatModernDude Someone suggested to use a loader node instead, and that did the job.
@@AntoniusFM how does that work? i have the same issue
@@Jrdigit4l Hi, just add tool > I/O > Loader and specify your image.
Well explained Fusion tutorial. Thanks. I'm going to give it a try.
Thank you! Hope it helps!
Thanks for the detailed video! How do you save this so it shows up in the title section?
I’ll make a video!
Thanks!! That would be awesome 😁
It’s complicated, hence why I haven’t done a video yet
I actually already have a video haha! “How to create drag and drop titles”
Super helpful, and easy to follow.
Thank you!
It was a nice well explained video if you want to do this work EVERY single video... Why did you not provide an exporting option for community?
I have since posted a video covering exactly this!

@@ThatModernDude thanks
whew! got it. Thanks bro! Now I just need to find out how the heck to get that into my video
You’re welcome
Is there a way to save these fusion complexes so that you don’t have to make them every video?!
Yes there is!, Check this space
That Modern Dude check what?
@@ThatModernDude Where? There is no link you referred to

Well the intent was for people to create something and render it out to be drag and dropped onto whatever project they choose
@@ThatModernDude Sorry yes I did then see your later video on this. Cheers!
Also is there an easier way to move keyframes around instead of deleting them?
Using the key frame manager is the easiest in my opinion. Can just click and drag

It shouldn’t matter if it’s transparent or not for the transform node to work.
I think i missed something then... thanks though, gonna try it again
Is there a way to save the whole thing so that it can be used in other videos without having to redo them each time?
Yes there is! Check this space
@@ThatModernDude Check what? Where? Please
Silly Question @thatmoderndude, how to you import that animation so that you can put it in a video?
Have done a recent video about alphas that covers this!
Really helpful video but I am perplexed why you chose to have a background? The lower thirds is not able to be placed over any other media because the background will cover it?
Thinking the same thing. Did you Find an answer for that since you posted that comment? Would love to know what to do withe the background.
I made an Instagram logo following your instructions, when I try to add it to a video, the whole screen is black with the logo. How do you make it transparent background to insert into video clip. AM I missing something?? Thanks.
I think I found the answer...you have to go back and turn the Alpha all the way down in the BG node...correct?
Hey was trying to follow along and I got stuck. Your key frames go in increments of 50 but mine is by 1000 in fusion. How do I adjust this?
Should be able to change that in the fusion comp settings!
I'm here because i've never heard the term "lower thirds". Learned something.
Haha well there you go
thanks you
NOW THIS WAS IMPRESSIVE🌚
:)
First maybe. I don't care you are the best
Thanks so much! 🙏
when I play it back its just black. how do I get it on top of my clip?
thats my problem too
If you click on Background then change the transparency this works. I've done it this way. Hope this helps
not blending into other timeline its black
Just drop the alpha down
If this video seems long just remember you can speed it up in the corner
can easily watch tutorials at 1.5x speed
Helpful to some extent, but you never showed how to save it or even place it in a video etc?????
Good video but try make it shorter
Fair enough. Hard to find the balance between video length and information

Good tutorial and all but you never explained how to put it in your video…
