Already miss the pavement racing there. Spent many of great Saturday night racing there, but I also understand pavement racing is non-existent in this part of the country.

Another great show for the WoO to christen this brand spanking new racetrack. This track is inconspicuously fast, and we saw that in the vicious crash at the end of the POWRi sprints. Glad everyone was ok. Definitely looking forward to tomorrow night's show. Maybe the hometown boy Brian Brown will finish one spot better, like he said in the post race interview. We shall see.
I'm not a big Brian Brown fan, but it's always cool to see a non-outlaw guy post a good result racing with those guys. 10 more laps out there and he and Gravel were going to make it really interesting on the 49 car.

It was a great race! So awesome to be back at I-70... I think the last time was there was in the mid 90s... Excellent racing!! The only things that I think need some attention are the generator lights on the front stretch.. the glare off the fence was kind of a hindrance to the spectators, also, the dirt vision jumbo tron obstructed the view of the back stretch. But it's a new track, it'll come together, I was seriously impressed, can't wait for Saturdays race!!! We'll be in attendance again!! Anybody know who won the non wing feature?

2:34 Announcer says "brake rotor glowing and sparking." Is that because the driver is riding the brake and throttle at the same time to keep the rpm range in the power zone? I've seen Motorcycle Mile Flat Track Racers do the same.
There is a traction control device (illegal) that pulses the brakes. I have first hand knowledge of how they work (watched an unnamed late model crew install one at there shop). I'm 50% sure that's what's going on.
@@richardburnett2589.. he did?.. Not after he sees the film he won't. The whole point of a slide is you've got the guy and he has to back off. A miscalculated slide that turns into a t-bone is a mistake. It's a risk. It is hard racing but Larson's miscalculation almost had some serious consequences. Larson's aggression is a good thing. But I'd be surprised if Larson defended it in this instance.

I think Kyle Larson did the regulars a favor by punting the 33 car who is lapped multiple times every race. I think their strategy is to hope he runs out of cars to fix lol
shame they got rid of the dogleg, the one identifying element of this track. sure i get making it dirt, but they should of kept the dogleg, otherwise it's just not the same track anymore
The last one was clearly Macedo's fault for hitting the "RUT" it through the car into Larson but more importantly the long run fade is not "typical", generally the longer they run benefits Larson. Not sure what is going on with setup/tires.
Just got home from this race. So happy to see I-70 speedway alive again.
We need to revive dirt track racing for sure too many awesome tracks closed down

Great facility and a decent race. Maybe reposition the light shining on the fence in turn 1 though. Or get a different location for the main camera.
yes the way they put all three in front of the front stretch fence is brutal, it looks terrible. get better lighting is my suggestion!

For Safety, very slow Drivers should be Flagged off the Track.
