I'm 66. My love for Corvettes started with this movie back in 1978. I'm young in a 'Vette.
"Shut down all the garbage smashers on the detention level!"
*slow clap*
Haha! Good one bro!
"You will bring the Corvette and Captain Solo to me."
im luke skywalker and i'm here to rescue you
But I was going to Tosche Station to pick up power converters!
Judging by the cost of Corvette parts, they would be better off parting it out. There is NO way it was worth salvaging
I saw this in the theater. Little did Mark know what he would have to do to get that car back! ROFL!
He would lose face making this movie. Seriously, he was in a car accident making this movie and had to have extensive plastic surgery.
This could have been a great movie IF, the other 102 minutes of this classic were fully shown!! POLITICS! DAMN FUCKIN' POLITICS!!!
Luke, the Ajax Man, and Meemaw. A classic.
No! NO!! Wait!!!
Dantley. Where are you going. Come back here
.
DON’T YOU SEE WHAT THIS IS? A CORVETTE!! A STINGRAY!!! Hey Stop This Machine. THIS IS IT!!!
THAT’S OUR CAR! CAN YOU BELIEVE YOUR EYES?!?! IT’S A CORVETTE!!!!
This must be the "Citizen Kane" for gear heads. 😃
you dont see vettes in scrapyards nowa days
This is my favorite movie! Why wont anyone download it?
just buy the dvd! :)
Who knows? You have to pay for it anyway because it's on RUclips movies so you are still giving support for it.
Huh, who knew The Joker smashed up Corvettes?
Trickster brought me here.
I still see @ least 1 vette a month in So Cal Yards
Don't know why he'd want a Corvette, he's got a perfectly good X-Wing he can use
I've never seen a X-Wing pick up a girl. There's only 1 seat. Stingray has an extra seat. For the girl.
@@Redmow51 an X-Wing can blow shit up tho
@@MikeMike-hw5ro True. Very true.
Haha!
Just like his dad is perfectly comfortable with his Jedi Starfighter 😂
Mark Hamill played the car nut so good. Ive been that same kinda guy all my life, and stopping that crusher. I would had that same sigh of relief, lol. Plus, he rode back to the gargage on the trailer with the car. Thats something only a true car nut would understand.
Seen this at the drive in sitting in my 1961 Chevy Impala S S convertible 409 tripower 4 speed.with the first wife back in 78.I was working at a Rich's Corvette specialist doing body work on vettes. It always brings a tear to my eye.
This is not the corvette your looking for.
Is that the same trash compactor that was on the death star? That's two close calls.
This a Love Story on several levels! I would have killed to have a Corvette when I was a teenager back then. :)
RIP to Wendie Jo Sperber, and Eugene Roche.
Dick Miller and Brion James
There is no way that car was rebuild able.
everything is rebulidable depends on dedication and wallet
Why crush a corvette, it's made of fibreglass.
Rey should be in Corvette Summer 2 and star as a lean holder and just take the car from an aging Mark Hamill like she did with the other movie. JJ Abrams should direct it.
forget downloading it. I'd rather own the DVD
This movie got me into Corvettes… Years later I bought a 1964 Coupe.
I remember using Microsoft paint to create collages using sprites from
Pc video game “Yoda stories” in the icon/sprite pack, there was a red corvette, probably an homage to this film :D
bet he died in the wreck, leftside glass missing
Luke, luke, trust your feelings luke, the Corvette is the path to the light side..
I love this movie and all the muscle cars in it!
When I first saw this movie I remember him holding a Stingray emblem and being young I didn't understand why it said Stingray instead of Corvette. Why do I think they changed it? It still looks like it says Stingray in his hand in the last shot of him holding it, you can see the line of the T next to the S. Does the Stingray even have the chrome corvette word like that on it?
JimSweet - Yeah I was expecting to see the word Stingray as well. I though my memory had just failed me after all these decades! Haha
It always said corvette. I’ve watched this movie on and off since I was 6 years old. The Mandela effect does not exist. Lol

It depends how old you are. I saw it when I was around 11 back in 1981 on TV. If you only watched it on DVD or video tape, then it may have been changed. Luved you in Boogie Nights by the way. You had a great corvette in that too.
JimSweet I first watched it on beta max. Born in 73
JimSweet lmao. Can’t go wrong with competition orange
I thought it was yellow . my memory must b horrible
This is how it started for me and Corvettes. I was 9 and saw this in the theater. Now im 51 and finally got my dream car, a Corvette.
Bought my 2019 stingray last night. A 50 year wait. More importantly, the wife wanted it more than me.
Did anyone see this at the theater? Do you remember where? I saw this at The Shamrock 6 in Houston, TX (Summer of 1978)
I don't remember where, but saw it in Connecticut - summer 78 - I was only 8. Probably Newington Theaters, now a LOWE's
Hollywood Theater, Norman Oklahoma. Summer 1978!
Berkeley CA, at the United Artist 4 (now 7) theater. Ahh the memories .
Southgate Milwaukee or. I was 11 yrs old
I was eight when it came out so don't remember if I saw it at the cinema
The Rambler would've been easy to fix...
Still better than the last jedi.
How do you crush a fiberglass car
The beginning scene is Toshi Station.
He was gonna pick up some power converters
It's a Stingray!!!!!
Rey should be in Corvette Summer 2 and star as a lean holder and just take the car from an aging Mark Hamill like she did with the other movie. JJ Abrams should direct it.
I have this one on a video cassette.
Same. Mines in a box.
Mark Hamill is back from Star Wars
Where is the rest of this movie. It brings back a lot of memories.
"A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!"
Greatest 70's film
Great summer movie
Threepio! Threepio! lol
I Heard That Mark Hamill Is Gonna To Play Chucky In The Childs Play Remake On June 21st
One part in this movie I find unrealistic is the part where he hides in the oil drums with wood crates neatly stacked on top of each other, stacked on top of the oil drums. You have to be a magician to do that! Even so, one of my favorite movies.
Didn’t think about it right away or notice it until I watched it a few times.
@@drive-incultclassics4803 C'mon....He's a Jedi silly....!
NEF aurora - That explains it!
