Lots of stories in folklore where the abandoned woman or abandoned child and his or her mother end up richer than the one who abandoned her or them - due to beauty, virtue, kindness, bravery, cleverness, piety, and sometimes supernatural intervention by a power that approves of these good traits and rewards them.

While I have heard the many stories of how Lann the Clever took Casterley rock, I hadnt heard the theory of Lann himself being a Lion Warg, but it makes perfect sense and either way new head canon. Love the shout out to Florys the Fox, progenitor of my favorite house. Hope you do more videos of Garth Greenhand and his children in relation to their magic origins. I find the reach so fascinating as they had their beginning from such magical roots and worshping the old gods, but once the Andals came instead of trying to fight them like the vale or Dorne they just immedietly offered to integrate them through marriage and adopting the faith of the seven, and then the reach became most infamous for knights and other Andal trappings.
However I wonder if perhaps because the Gardener king and the reach welcomed the Andals so easily in, if they didnt suffer as many loses in regards to weirwood trees. Highgarden has an impressive three weirwoods that seem connected giving the illusion of a giant one, so perhaps by not resisting them, the andals showed mercy upon the weirwood trees? I know Martin says theres barely any south of the neck, but Highgarden has such an ostentatious one it makes me wonder..
Also house Crane has rumors of their female line warging into cranes, warging seems a gift or talent awarded by the old gods, also House Florent with their prominent ears, a vulpine feature, makes me wonder if they have dorment fox warging.
Anyways, another fascinating video, keep up the quality work! :)

I am so glad you are enjoying the videos!!!
I am thinking of making videos for most of Garth's kids. I talked about Maris , very little about Bors in the video about the Skagosi and about Garth Gardener in the Garth video, but I want to talk about all of them. Elyn is the trickiest for me so far, bc something in her story seems off, but I don't know exactly what, if you have ideas I would love to hear them.
In general the Dawn Age and Age of heroes stories are my favorite too and I have many ideas for future videos. The coming of the Andals and the faith is also very interesting and I want to talk about it at some point.
Thank again for the comment ☺️

In Jamie's vision _ not his dream_ he is being driven at spearpoint to face his origins and decide whether or not to accept it or reject it. *And then he wakes and appears to reject that.* He forces a balanced if cranky peace on the Blackwoods and Brackens. He makes Edmure accept exile instead of killing him. He could kill Lancel, for fooling around with Cersei or for abandoning his marriage and his duty to his House, but he doesn't.
    Personal growth!

I just discovered your channel. I have greatly enjoyed the 2 videos I’ve watched so far. So I have subscribed, and am now going to binge-watch the rest of your catalogue. 😊🎉
You have a good narrative style and a clever sense of humor. You are also discussing the topics from a fresh angle. That is difficult to do, as we have had so much time to pore over the yet-unfinished series - but yours are a new set of eyes, and your vision brings new ways of regarding and analyzing the text. Thanks. 🙏 😊

It may be "common knowledge" that male lions are not hunters, but it is not true. Male lions are excellent hunters, but they favor very different tactics than do lionesses. Lionesses hunt in packs chasing down prey in the heat of the day. Male lions are solitary nocturnal ambush predators. A lion climbs a tree, or a rock, or hides in a hole or if there is no other option in the tall grass and patiently waits until a prey animal comes close enough for him to pounce. A lion's prey does not escape nearly as often as the lionesses' prey do. They often have their throats cut or the necks broken before they sense any predator is near. A single male lion often brings the pride more meat than 3 or 4 lionesses.

I enjoyed the vedio, but i think jaime and Cersei are targ not tyrion for many reason what jenna said that tyrion son not jaime, and moqorro Said that he see dragons and then he said that he sees tyrion meaning that tyrion not one of those dragons, and moqorro Said (dragons old and young, true and false bright, and dark) refering to six people who's i think are: (aemon danerys, Jon and faegon, jaime and Cersei) and in all books the only two people that said being ressemble to aerys are cersei and joffrey

Another video today I am rolling lol. Anyway the part I wanted to talk about in this one (despite your very very convincing evidence that Lann was Rowan’s Son which I love) is your assertion of Jon being Rhaegar and Lyanna’s child. In the newest released versions of A Song of Ice and Fire, which are the Annotated iBook Versions which have Annotations in various chapters from GRRM himself and are thus Canon to the Book Series, we finally get a Date for Jon’s birth. It comes during the Chapter Davos 1 of A Dance With Dragons and says (and this is me paraphrasing) “Jon was born during or just after the Sack of Kings Landing and Dany 9 Months Later”. This information Mathematically Eliminates Jon from being Rhaegar and Lyanna’s Child. How you might ask? Well taking into account that 1) We know Ned found his Sister Alive, 2) We know Lyanna’s Cause of Death to be Childbed Fever which takes days to kill someone not weeks or months, and 3) That Ned had to Pacify KL after the Sack, wait for Robert to show up, March to Storm’s End with a Full Army, and Deal with the Reacher Lords before he could even begin to search for his Sister and Combining that information with the Annotation the evidence just stacks up too high in favor of Jon NOT being Rhaegar and Lyanna’s child. If RLJ were true Ned would have found a Corpse when he got to wherever Lyanna was instead of finding her on her Deathbed. It’s pretty clear at this point that Jon’s Parents are Ned Stark and Ashara Dayne.
But don’t worry not all is lost lol. Just remember this phrase. “Tyrion Lannister did indeed meet the Son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. He just met him on Riverboat on the Rhoyne, not at Winterfell”…

    • @CompanyOfTheCat
      @CompanyOfTheCat  9 месяцев назад +1

I am still stand by it, the amount of connections Jon has with Lyanna is impossible for him to not be the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna. Plus there have been three things that are confirmed are cannon and were in the GoT series and these are the burning of Shireen, King Bran and Jon's parents, but even if it wasn't the case Nes is thinking Lyanna along with Jon all the time, it would be very much bad writing if there are five books red herring. As for Y. Griff I doubt a kid that was introduced to us in the fifth book and is in the chapters with only Blackfyre info is either connected to the North or that important, ngl 😂

@@CompanyOfTheCat oh I’m not saying you can’t believe what you want to believe obviously lol that’s not the point of what I was saying. I was just pointing out that using the evidence of the text I have come to a different conclusion. It’ll be interesting to see the answer if we ever get it (which I believe less and less with every passing day)…

@@CompanyOfTheCat haha yeah my own personal Conspiracy Theory is that Martin has made a deal with his publishers that they won’t release Winds or Dream until after he dies and all of this “I’m almost finished” crap for the last few years has been him stalling so he doesn’t have to deal with any backlash from people who don’t get the ending they want lol
